I thought this was an interesting stat.

Conor outlanded:
Brimage 16-12
Holloway 42-22 (all three rounds)
Brandao 10-5
Siver 47-30 (both rounds)
Mendes 39-14 (both rounds)
Aldo 3-1
Diaz 193-150 (6 out of 7 rounds)
Alvarez 24-9 (both rounds)
Khabib 35-24 (3 out of 4 rounds)
Cowboy 3-0

Yet Poirier outlanded Conor 10-5. And I know of at least a couple of those 10 that were really big shots. The story of the fight was just that Dustin couldn't take Conor's power. If Poirier proves more durable this time, then this fight will be very interesting...

Post-fight update: Stat remains intact.

56-32 to Poirier (3 rounds to Poirier)

Conor was vulnerable to the left strait, he got his tooth chipped iirc.

All of their striking stats are almost identical, even strikes absorbed per minute. If Dustin can just get out of the first round, Conor may be in serious trouble.

Maybe its because Dustin its a volume brawler with a very bad defense. How did it end in the first fight?

I can't see him taking conors precise shots. Unless connor's own chin has declined rapidly? I expect this to be over pretty fast. Maybe not 60 seconds, but I could see it ending in a round

The shot that put Dustin down was a legal shot well behind the ear. Looked to me like he lost his equilibrium, as we know shots to the back of the head will do. We’ve seen Dustin go down hard and recover fast to shots that weren’t to the back of the head (and once not recover fast).

I don’t think this fight is going to be as one sided as the vocal minority of sherdoggers think. Of course, even those that are saying Conor will win in round 1 will claim they were right if he wins a split decision, so there’s no point in taking them seriously.

10 to 5 when you get slept like he did doesn't do much for me.

Dustin WILL be more durable without having to cut the extra 10 lbs however Conor WILL hit even harder for the same reason.

Conor KO inside 2 minutes

Even odds it never gets to the second. I’m not saying you should bet the house...I’m just saying if everyone who claimed to really believe what you just said bet it, odds would be a lot higher.

Rewatched that fight a couple times now and I seen the same, w/o stats. He looked good up until the hook behind the ear. The follow up hammer fists that came when he dropped were def back of head though.....

Exactly this! You can't tell shit from a fight so short. Bottom line the punch that mattered was Conor's.
I'm picking Conor to win. I'm not saying these stats are overly meaningful. But it's an interesting nonetheless that Dustin's the only one of Conor's opponents who has outstruck him at distance. That was a competitive striking match, with Dustin getting the better of the exchanges, until of course it all ended up not mattering.

Even odds is not good odds to be betting on a 1st round finish.

Unless its a crazy matchup like Lewis vs Francis.

There was an audio clip from Conor's corner on YT. I've tried to find it but it looks like it has been removed. Some 90 seconds into the fight Conor lands a shot and you can clearly hear Kavanagh saying "good shot, he's done, he's done". Some 20 seconds later, the finishing sequence occurs. Dustin was almost out on his feet, so it didn't take much to finish the fight. Despite this one being at 155, it will probably be a similar story, sooner or later Conor will land something that will do the job. But I do hope it takes more than a round, at least.
