There's nothing that says Max will dominate Kattar

They only share two opponents. Lamas and Stephens. While Max took these two to decision, Kattar smoothly knocked them out. Since this is MMA math though, it's a moot point.

If past opponents are off tale, we can only take a look at their skillsets.
2 of the best boxers in the division.
Kattar with the best jab, Holloway with the best cross.
Both great cardio, never seen either guy gass.
Both great chins and defense. Neither guy has been ko'd.

Yet people are convinced Max got this in the bag. Why is that? Because you like him? Max is a cool dude, i like him too. Im not letting that cloud my judgement tho. Max has a very tough fight on his hands and could easily drop 3 in a row.

EDIT found a video breaking down Kattars beautiful boxing

Kattar is the better and harder striker. Max is going to strike with him. 95% of the time bet on the better skilled fighter where the fight will take place.

Thanks guys for letting me get Kattar as a decently big underdog.

Hmm, I expect Max to win since he's fought better competition and has more experience in five round fights. He's also younger than Kattar by a few years.

But I see your point. Kattar has lost before but usually to good kickers. Max has good kicks but he's not really a kicker, he relies mainly on his hands. So stylistically they play into each other's strengths.

The mma math you've demonstrated here means absolutely 100% zero. However - the timing of these 2 top 45ers meeting now does support you're main point. Max is a 2-1 favorite and RIGHT NOW , I consider this an overlay. Max should rightfully be favored but it should be slight and really looking forward to this. Kattar legit af. I hope this is not another situation of a great fighter , his style and the wars hes been in, maybe, catching up to him. This is a HUGE win for either for different reasons.

I’m leaning Kattar, possibly via TKO.

Max gets hit too much.

He has relied on his chin to save him and that is not a great long term strategy. He has been tagged a LOT in his recent fights with Poirier and Volk. Sooner or later than chin is gonna give out, and this could be the fight where it does.

Max should have adapted a higher guard about 5-6 fights ago. Hands down is a dangerous game that requires incredibly quick reflexes and the difference between being quick enough to slip a punch or getting cracked by that shot is such a small margin that one fast opponent or a slight decline in reflexes can be detrimental.

I like Max, I have enjoyed his fights, but he has been playing with fire for a long time and he is about to step in there with a man that brings some serious heat.

What fight was it that convinced you of that? I felt since the Frankie fight he wasn’t the same as usual but he looked good vs Alexander the 2nd time even tho he got outclassed in the first fight.
So I thought the Dustin beating he took had to take a toll. A lot of times these guys are too tough for their own good. The first volk fight disappointed me as I got my brother to get the card and watch it with me (remotely). I was like “dude max is a beast and will piece up this guy.” Wrong. I think the beating Porier put on him at LW did it, but you may be right with Edgar.

Kattar is older but Max has taken way more damage in his career.

I favor Kattar slightly in this bout. It's a shame because I felt Max beat Alex in their rematch and should be champ.

Now by a flukey circumstance he may be on a 3 fight losing streak soon.

Max too slick with to many weapons. Kattar is really dope but he basically has one entry he uses to
set everything up. He’s great at it but a guy at Max’s level is gonna sus that out no problem.

He's not overrated at all

You thinking that real world age = fight age shows that you're not all that well-versed in the nuances of combat sports.
Lol
You're Fukin delusional
Way more logical and likely to be taken as overrated then physically past his prime at 28 Quit being a clown
