I just re-watched Cruz vs Dillishaw and man that is about as close a fight as you can get.

What fights do you remember that were so razor close and competitive that it was almost impossible to pick a winner confidently?

Volkanovski vs Holloway 2

Cruz-Dillashaw is a great choice. It was razor thin. I thought Dillashaw landed the harder, better strikes, but Cruz had some empty takedowns in there.

Jones/Gus 1

Another good one. Super close fight. I thought the judges got it right (probably).

How bout Wonderbread v woodley 1

Woodley bashed Wonderboy's face in during that fight. It was scored a draw, but that was an anomaly of the ten point must system. It wasn't really that close.

There are a few fights, that were rightly called as draws. Dalby vs. Till springs to mind (I don't see any argument it wasn't 28-28). Edgar vs. Maynard I and Hendo vs. Rua are other examples.

Haven't rewatched it in forever but remembered Frankie-Maynard 2 being a really tight fight

I've seen a number of split decisions where a guy loses if you look at the judges scorecards via columns, but if you score the rows across, the loser was the more likely winner of most rounds.

Don't know if i explained that well enough, but like. But Condit Kampmann was an example. 2 out of 3 judges gave Condit the first round, 2 out of 3 judges gave him the second round. But they were different judges, so when he lost the third, he lost the fight. Plus, they were back and forth on the feet and rolling/transitions. Good fight
