Wonderboy have never looked better.

hmm i don't know, i think Neal was paying him too much respect. Just my opinion on this.

That said Wonderboy's footwork is amazing

His absolute domination of Masvidal got me wowwwww

He did amazing. And his footwork was like three times better then ever before.

And thats saying something. Because he allready had some of the best footwork in MMA.

Very impressive.

Hes better than ever imo. This version of wonderboy is next level compared to strikers like masvidal, luque, neal.

did he fuck up his knee?

hopefully it's very minor at his age

What's the point in his special striking if he can get ktfo by Pettis?

We all make mistakes. Credit to Pettis for toughing it out before seizing his opportunity, but Thompson didn't look bad in defeat. He was piecing Pettis up, made a critical error, and got owned. Shit happens, life goes on.

And Thompson did just that. 2 straight victories against great fighters on long winning streaks. If anything, this is a lesson in how to bounce back from defeat.

It is the best he has looked in a while, but definitely not the best he has ever looked. Previously he was faster, did a better job of moving in and out of range and was more concussive, which explains why he landed a record number of shots last night, previously he wouldn’t have had to.

I agree. Best footwork in mma, imo. That karate one-two pivot left was on full display and worked a treat in the boxing exchanges over and over again. Pretty great to see it work so well for us karate guys, lol.

Not sure about that but he looked sharp as fuck. After the first round I thought "This is not gonna get better for Neal". He got slow cooked

I'd love to see him get a finish and make a more impactful win last night. This decision win is dominant and happy for him but really it gets him nowhere in the rankings. His next fight will likely just be against the winner of Leon vs Khamzat and for now he stays in what ever number he is in the rankings.

Neal has the easiest style to beat for Wonderboy.
That super upright backleaning shitfest of a stance without leg kicks. That's also what Masvidal made look stupid against him.

How to beat wonderboy:
a) Kick his legs until he loses his mobility
b) Wrestle him
c) Inside fighting, because Wonderboy doesn't put his hands up

Neal did
Not a)
Not b)
and c) he did like for 40 seconds in a 25 minute fight

Worst game plan ever and he ate something wrong

Well you can look like a technical genius against Mike Perry, but Wonderboy is like 6 levels ahead of that.

We all make mistakes. Credit to Pettis for toughing it out before seizing his opportunity, but Thompson didn't look bad in defeat. He was piecing Pettis up, made a critical error, and got owned. Shit happens, life goes on.
What is this revisionist nonsense? Pettis/Thompson was a very close fight before the KO.

his most impressive performance was against rory. rory little ran scared and was diving on the floor more than ryan hall
