““I think they’re going to cut him,” McCarthy said on his Weighing In podcast with Josh Thomson (transcript via Abhinav Kini of The Body Lock). “I could be wrong about that but the reason I say it is first off, Tony has always had an adversarial relationship with certain people with the UFC. He’s felt like he’s been held back, cheated in certain things. And so you have that. That’s okay, you can say those things when you’re winning.”

Big John have some inside information perhaps?

Cliffs:
1. Tony on a two fight skid.
2. Feels cheated in certain ways
3. Doesn't have the best relationship with the UFC
4. Not good to be argumentative with certain people when you aren't winning.

Like how Tony cut up his opponents

Well, except for the last 2 fights he fought

Sounds like John’s opinion more than anything. I could see it if he were to be intentionally difficult during negotiations, but I don’t think they’re planning on it right this second. I could be wrong though

Would suck, he can still beat a lot of top guys and make for entertaining fights at least.

if the bald clown cuts him there you have a good example of how stupid and mean can sompe employers be

I wouldn't be suprised.

They know Tony isnt getting the belt, maybe let him make a last run for it somewhere else.

Tony doesnt strike me as someone ready to just retire though I also dont think he should yet.

Tony wouldn't be #4 in the rankings after his last two losses if he was going to be cut. They are going to try to milk Tony's name value by giving him a fight against someone they want to push forward. Possibly Hooker.

All those are good points but im sure they will give him at least one more fight. Tony is still useful to put over younger talent like Olivera etc if they view him as a shot fighter

how would it be anything other than his opinion? its not like he's a UFC employee
