Moreno showed he can take all Figgy has, he is not as powerful but he s faster and has better overall boxing I think: His composure and combinations were better and took down Figgy at will.

I believe that if he comes with a better gameplan , sticks to range striking and keeps away from the power shots he has a very good chance of putting Figgy away.

Many will shit on me bc Fig had Brandon covering up and backing off at times, but I believe Brandon was much much closer to putting his opponent away. Fig was on very shaky legs in that round (think it was the 3d), but he managed to recover.

Whoever wins, superexcited for the rematch!

He took him and down did zero damage.

I believe he CAN win the rematch.
I wouldn’t put him as favorite though.

Last night showed some holes In figgy’s game.

TD defense

Hands low and he is not as fast as you need to be to be a hands down fighter.

Fig over extends on power punches and is often wide open to counters, especially short crisp straight counters.

Left hook landed hard numerous times.

Figgy got rocked in round 4, he is human.

Fig used “lean back” defense over and over again, which can be open to shifting combos moving forward. (Dillashaw vs Barao)
Left jab, right cross, (Step forward into southpaw) -> left cross (or overhand left)

I would set the rematch with the champ a minus 170 favorite.

I'll bet the champ also.

Please return CCC and whoop these guys. Also to trigger sherdoggers too lol.

Rooting for D1 Moreno via UD, and I say that as a Royval fan. Would be perfect to avenge that fluke loss for the belt.

No short weight cut, no point deduction, I see him losing
Figgy needed that foul, he was getting absolutely touched up because he was gassed to shit, and so he kicked Moreno in the nuts. I fully believe it was intentional, especially because of those horrible eye pokes.

Having said that, Figgy probably wins the rematch. But don't think the point helped Moreno, if anything it helped Figgy not get finished.

Maybe use some body work to slow down Fig earlier.

Do you know how difficult it is to have a 21 day turnaround for a 5 round championship fight during a global pandemic, and you also have to defend your belt against a younger opponent who's been watching you hard for atleast 2 years now??

Fig will win the rematch emphatically, there's absolutely no way you can be even 80% under those circumstances regardless of damage sustained in your previous bout. That's not enough time to have a legitimate fight camp, he likely knew next to nothing about Moreno coming into this fight ( in terms of in depth fight prep)

I think every champion would severly struggle or lose if they had to take 21 days between championship bouts in the modern era, everyone in the division just got done watching you fight, and you have no time to adjust your skillset or tendencies before the next opponent is in your face.

Unless Moreno figures out how to capitalize on take downs, Figgy wins the rematch.

He could win, it's a fight, but I don't think he will win the rematch when it eventually happens. If Fig wasn't sick before the fight and didn't lose a point for the low blow, he would have got the W.

Great fight and not trying to take anything away from either guy.

I think if he gets more takedowns in early in the rounds he could definitely get it done.
That being said, I could also see a scenario where Fig trains to land even more cleanly and close the show.

I thought he only really won one round. Fig was sick before the fight. Moreno is good and is game but outside of those takedowns, I think Figgy might have the rematch on lock. I don't think it should have been a draw.

I think Moreno will still be the underdog but he’s definitely a live one. In the rematch maybe he should work his wrestling and takedowns a little more in the later rounds seemed to have some success there.
