I underestimated the degree to which Do Bronx could lame the opposition with his grappling /JJ. He can take a top tier fighter and just put him on his back and keep him there, albeit while not doing any damage.

I don't know who else in the top 5 who could deal with his grappling. Maybe Hooker, good striking and he's huge for a LW, hard to take down. Poirier is real scrappy but he got handled by Khabib on the ground. Def not Gaethje, his JJ is kindergarten tier. Conor can put Charles' lights out but I fear he might get lamed as well.

What do you think?

Not doing any damage? Did you see what he did to tony's arm?

Wait, are you just a salty tony fanboy?

Ok besides the sub attempt. The guy just put Tony's legs behind his head and pinned him down all match.

Remember that time he was so lame that he almost broke Tony’s arm in a 155 match with an arm bar that would please any educated fan. Yeah, super boring <YeahOKJen>

This is a horrible take. He almost ripped Tony's arm off in the first. He kept working for subs and to get into mount. Tony is just really good on his back.

What's even worse about this thread? That Aloe Vera historically is the most prolific submission guy in the UFC and then you see him almost take Tony's arm home with him in his biggest fight against his best opponent and you think he's going to lay and pray to decision wins? Lol. Fuck outta here with this lame shit.

You do realize that the better the guy you fight, the harder it is to get a sub or a finish at all for that matter, right? Lol.

Not saying he's boring, but I'm not a fan.

I'm giving the guy credit also, I'm predicting he'll get a title

He'll twist conor up like a pretzel, if that's what you're asking.

Stop watching MMA bro.

I mean he almost broke his arm in half. But you’re also not giving Tony credit for mitigating some damage with his high level ground game.

When has Oliveira ever been lame in a fight?
TS is just crying because his “do bronx is overrated thread” didn’t age well, and his e cred got smacked around a bit.

You can dislike a guy and still not need to type up some convoluted BS to shit on him. Lol.

At one point in time, I thought Charles was destined to lose big fights and just crush solid opposition forever. The guy has improved as much as any fighter I've ever seen in application of skill and fixed his physical and mental shortcomings this last year. Just phenomenal.
