Nahhh, goat candidates can't even lose, I love charles' style evolution but dude has an almost double digit losing record. Come on man, people like you responsible for throwing around the goat term just like that are the ones cheapening it.

it seems you are the one who don't understand what it means.
GOAT means greatest of all times, not the one who was born knowing it all.
Oliveira lost, but learned from it and improving.
There are absolutely no fucking rules about losing EVER.

Don't try to add rules just to suit your fucking perception of it.
All fighters lost besides Khabib, and most (GOAT contenders) have better resume than him.
Let us just leave it at that.

For once we might actually agree, losing shouldn't be the end all be all to determine the GOAT, but it DEFINITELY helps to know that throughout your run, no one could fuck with you or the style you imposed, that shows an uncanny level of dominance.

I still think Khabib will be remembered as being greater than Charles no matter what Charles does to be honest, he means so much to Dagestan and that region that him being considered one of the GOATS goes far beyond what he did in the cage.

He's almost like Ali in that sense, where it's not just about what he did inside the cage, but what he was able to do outside of it as well. Ali had 5 losses, but the impact he made on the world far overshadowed that, and the circumstances surrounding his losses made it easy for people to write them off. Khabib never lost a fight and arguably has had as big an impact on that region, thus he will always be remembered for it.

As game as Charles is History won't remember him the same way they will Khabib.
 
if he beats all the top 5, then defends the belt like 5 straight times then there is an argument. but the counter argument will always be that he never beat Khabib.

so if he does all that, then Khabib comes back for his belt and Charles defeats him, yeah he's lightweight goat

LW goat possibly if he goes on to beat Conor, Justin, and Porier. If he does, that might make Khabib forget about GSP and return from retirement for DoBronx.
