Who has come back from COVID and fought?

Reason I'm asking

My mom had it four months ago and some days she's fine and other days she still can't fuckin' breathe.
Very curious what the short term effect is on training / competing. I understand COVID doesn't treat everyone the same.

I had it 3 weeks ago. I feel 100% as of today. Just got done working out.
Felt like the standard cold. No fever. Had chills for 1-2 nights but it was very very mild. had lower back pain as I always get when I get a cold.

after 7-8 days I felt at 80% for the next week. Lost my taste and smell which took about 2 weeks to get back total. After day 16-19 felt 90% no smell or taste. Day 20 got it back and felt 100% since.
Honestly was not a big deal. I’m 32 fwiw.

I was curious about this as well. I follow the YouTube basketball player the Professor. He also had Covid bad. And noticed now that he’s ‘’recovered’’ he’s been huffing and puffing a lot more on the court. Seems like his breathing has been compromised..

thanks for the info. When you say you just got done working out you meant working out some dudes butt right.

A bunch of them have had it, but I'm not sure how many have had symptoms other than Cody.

Depends what your viral load was.

Bad infections have lots of good and bad days for a period of months.

When you're getting tested all the time I wonder how many end up with only minor traces of the virus and hence never really get infected, yet have enough of it to return a positive test.

It will be interesting to see if there's anyone who's had a bad case where they were sick for a couple of weeks and how it affects them long term.

Souza is fighting tonight....but from memory I don't recall. Would have to pick thru UFC on Tapology and see how many rebooked and records.

Lazy an watching Cage Warriors 118 atm.

Here is a comprehensive list.

Most fighters, who test positive while preparing to fight, end up fighting about a month after their positive test. That was the case with RDA. He pushed a non-stop pace for 5 rounds a month after his positive test.

Some even come back quicker. Renato Moicano will fight tomorrow, 3 weeks after testing positive. In the NFL and college football, many players have come back after 2 weeks.

I believe it can really mess with your oxygen levels, even months after.
I had a mad head busting headache and almost a week of night sweats/fevers/dizzy.
then sore throat for next week,
a bad cough for literally 2 months. wouldnt go away.
bout 2 months of feeling like total trash.
after 3 months felt OK, but
went from being able to do about 40 pushups to only 12.
was winded as all hell after 12 and I was like WTF
after about 5-6 months back over 40.
so yea it can kick your ass.
wasn't sick at all for about 4-5 years before that.
so....
TL/DR;
Fighters will be at some level of cardio disadvantage,
but they WON'T ADMIT IT.

Badr Hari will fight in a week or so and he recently had Covid

Considering the vast majority of people don't even have any idea that they're infected, I'd be willing to bet most fighters will do just fine in their fights
