Yes. The guy is just a shell, but he is not that destroyed.
He lost against some good guys Kelleher, Sterling or Stephens.

Since last autumn he turned really bad.
Maybe he should risk using TRT or move to another organization to save his career?

I think his problem is mental. He never recovered from TJ destroying him.

He managed to lose to Andre Ewell, that should have been the catalyst to retire.

Unfortunately I guess he needs the money. He probably still has a decent contract.

It's kinda fucked up being Barao right now. Of course he doesn't want his career to end on such a bad note after the highs it reached. But he's struggling to win any fight.

It's hard to say why his decline was so sudden and steep. Maybe he just cut too much weight for too long and it caught up with him.

Barao's career is an enigma. I know TJ destroyed him twice, but I still don't know how it's possible that he came from dominant champion (he defended the belt ffs) to low tier ufc fighter. Nowadays he seems to never have the advantage anywere in the fight. He's supposed to be a ground specialist, but he couldn't even submit De Andrade or at least keep him on the ground, and his striking was kinda basic. He begun his career with a loss, then after TJ beat him the first time he won a fight before fighting him again, so the guy is obviously able to rebound from a loss. I know USADA etc but come on.

Have him fight the overrated Sean O'Malley? Big win for either guy.

Reminds me of another guy who kept coming back clearly searching for that 1 last win to retire on

USADA took Barao’s soul ran with it and never looked back

I hate to be that guy but he was always overrated. He had a great record but it was padded with a bunch of cans.

He came up at a time when the UFC had no starpower....Silva had just been destroyed and GSP had retired after getting his ass kicked....So they decided to start calling Barao the P4P number one for beating Urijah Faber (LOL).

His soul was taken by Dillashaw and he was never the same.

I disagree, Barao was dominating for damn near a decade.

???

Barao looked good against Sanders and dominated round 1 of that fight.

Well TJ was getting away with whatever then as well..

But it is not really USADA. It was a confidence issue. That fight wrecked him mentally..

People who blame everything on "USADA" are fucking morons.
