I don’t think Bisping fought with a fake eye, how easily he popped it out

proved it, any punch to a glass eye can spell disaster, that thing would pop out, or shatter inside your head. I DO however believe he did fight a lot of his career post Vitor partially blinded in one eye, I think it was giving him major trouble, but medicals aside, unless Bisping greased some wheels which I doubt to look the other way, I think the glass eye is a post fight career thing, imagine your real eye is worthless and keeps tilting to the left or some shit and you have maybe 10 percent vision in it. I know big nog is near blind in one eye. But near blind and blind are two major differences. But he beat Rockhold and knocked him out with basically one working eye, still impressive. But for Bisping to say he fought the end part of his career and winning a title with one eye, and one fake eye, I don’t know, it sounds badass but hard to believe.

He would have never removed his eye if he had any vision out of it. He definitely fought with vision in only 1 eye, so it's the same thing.

Badass Mike. The BMF and the GOAT commentator.

Cool story Mr. Glass Eye Compression/Crush Specialist

Yeah that’s what a believe, but if he had like 10 percent vision in it and it was causing him pain, and double vision etc, I could see someone opting to get it removed, especially if doctors say it’s gonna go bad anyway, but he probably had 5 percent vision in it, and that 5 percent turned into zero and he gets the fake eye.

I don't think he did put the fake eye in when he went to fight. He clearly said it was for being on TV and films. If he got punched in the eye when he had it in, it could get jammed and stuck somewhere in his eyelid.

what about his power, doc? would you rate it as Ford Escort or something else? how about as a percentage? i've always been curious

He said on his podcast that he didn't fight with a fake eye, as the commission doctor would never allow him to fight if he had one. He got it done after he retired.

I think his eye just got worse and worse in the long run they removed it.
his eye still look messed up when he was fighting.
now it looks fine because it fake.

^Clearly this.

How is this even a real question?

It's not a glass eye. He still has his eyeball. It's called a scleral shell. It's basically a thick contact lens that is painted to look exactly like his other eye. After an injury to an eye sometimes the vitreous fluid in the eye is reduced from the surgery or lack of blood flow which shrinks the eye making it look more closed than the other one. Depending on the situation the eye may look cloudy or red. Patients like this will get a scleral shell to cover up the "gross" looking eye if it is basically useless anyway in order to make it look normal. I have one myself and recognized this as soon as I saw the video

Thanks for the personal insight, this makes sense. Sucks you lost your eye, how’d it happen if you don’t mind me askin?

Little known story, Bisping was born with 1 eye lid also. The doctor used the skin from circumcision to make up for it. For a long time, he's been cockeyed.

YES! Everyone is thinking his entire eyeball is gone. If you watch the video with him taking it out it looks like a rubber insert. He didn't just pull a painted glass ball out of his skull.
