I rarely start threads but wonder what kind of ideas I might get here about this. I use it and it pretty much always works which is great. I have been transitioning from it to the brabo/darce. The problem is a lot of bigger guys than me also use it on me. What should I do when I feel someone throwing the 3/4 nelson on? I usually just either try and do a quick gramby and get my guard, 1/2 guard or at least knee across belly, or if I have a single I try to suck it in and dump them, last choice which I tried this week is to fight it and that just plain sucks as an option. Are there some other options to counter or defend it? Any cool tricks I should know about? Thanks for any advice in advance. Maybe I just need to turtle up tighter, elbows in etc.. and not let them get it to start. But that's hard to do if you want a takedown. :icon_neut

Is this the same as a 3/4 stack?

Likely another name for it. It usually ends in stacking, like in wrestling where its used as a pin.

Basically one hand on the top of the head applying pressure down, other arm with a half nelson and gripping your own rist that you're pushing down on the head with. It is often applied with one guy on all fours (after a failed shot perhaps) and the other chest on his back facing the opposite way (likely after a sprawl).
