I'd never heard that particular Kipling poem before. I found it creepy AF.

"There is no discharge from the war!"

I remember covering him in high school and I can’t recall whether or not ‘Boots’ was in there.. it’s been a minute.

Didn’t think the first movie was great
Second one gave good action
So I’m optimistic

The first movie I thought was cool for it's time because zombie movies had been dead for a while, it was all about Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer bullshit for a few years by the time 28 Days Later came out. Looking at it now it's not great. The whole movie takes a huge nosedive when they get to the military base. The sequel I liked way better, some genuinely fucking freaky zombie panic scenes, haven't seen either of these in ages though.

Not into zombie films but I am actually interested in this going by the trailer, loved the audio as well. Think I'll do the cinema for this one, could be decent.

Seems like a lot of the media from that time period is trash when you don't have the hype to get caught up in.

Yea the quality of image is just so bad. I actually like 28 days more than 28 weeks later but end up just watching 28 weeks later because of how bad 28 days looks.
Yeah it’s total shame. I’m not even sure what they could with the original footage if they tried to remaster it.

You also can’t stream it or buy a physical copy so it’s quite literally almost impossible to watch now.

29 Days Later is being released to streaming tomorrow due to all the buzz around this new movie, Sony just rerealesed the trailer, which is obviously as high quality as they can make it, and it definitely looks crummy as heck

It looks a little better than this on my TV. Maybe some sort of upscaler is involved.

Danny chose an awful director to helm part 2 of this. She directed The Marvel's. Kills my excitement.

Wtf was he thinking?

The new remake of Return Of The Living Dead ( 2025 coming out ) will be 28 years later since it came out .

They didn't do a 28 Months Later, right?
They actually kind of did . Lol

28 Months AFTER is on TUBI, it’s a knock off survival horror I guess taking from the actual franchise the movie below probably has legal rights to the month title even though they copied them . Lol,

Yea, the audio is so frickin creepy and sets the perfect tone of despair that these people must exist in every day, I didnt realize it was a poem, I thought it was some sort of emergency radio system broadcast in the film, giving out daily information to survivors sorta like those Russian numbers stations
I don't remember you ever mentioning this but did you like Lost? That old military outpost signal intelligence aspect hooked me hard

I never watched Lost
If I may be so bold you should watch a few episodes at least until they find the bunker. The military codes/signals stuff is done in a really satisfying way and ends up permeating through the whole series. Damn dude, if you do that and enjoy it you'll make another Bay Area guy who's indifferent to In-n-Out proud of bothering to recommend it.

Plus at this point it's a cultural time capsule to the mid-2000's. I didn't watch it until the mid-2010's and I remember a blond girl calling someone "anal" and it stuck out like a sore thumb since it's never used in tv or movies anymore

trailer looks good, hoping the movie is scarier than it.

Impossible?

Do you people not know how to use torrents in 2024?

Update: April 17, 2025

New Trailer for Danny Boyle and Alex Garland's 28 YEARS LATER

I was already All In from the last trailer with that amazing creepy audio playing over it and this kept me piqued, I love how the world appears to have devolved into a post apocalyptic tribal wasteland as daily life has become a nonstop fight for survival, very cool direction to take the story

Trailer has a Far Cry and Fallout vibe, I dig that too
