International 248 people, 66 children Palestinian dead after "Apartheid state" Israel launches airstrikes in Gaza

Right, okay go ahead tow whatever your favorite religions line is with your high iq "position".
i'm an atheist homosexual and i support palestine with all my heart. it's really not hard to see which side is the oppressed one, only basic human decency. there isn't much nuance to be had in this conversation no matter how hard people try. when i say "the only people supporting israel are blinded by ideology" i 100% mean it.

No sir. This has been going on for weeks. The fighting around al asqa I mean. The Palestinians back to using rocks and determination, and getting pounded on for their efforts.

they want to keep
Families from being evicted on land they had lived on for over 50 years

Very sad. However, the world did not care about armenians being attacked by azerbaijan and their islamist soldiers. It would be hypocritical if they all of a sudden started to care.

That's gotta suck, right? Doing it to others after it's been done to you is even worse.

That region is so screwed up and I doubt there's a fair solution. Just terrible all around.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of the situation, it's always tragic when children are killed in the crossfire.

Man, I really don't know how this situation would ever get fixed. As much as I know and have read about it, there are libraries that could be filled with the back and forth history in that region. Isreal and the Palestine have done some seriously fucked up shit to eachother. This thread alone shows how split some opinions are on the matter. I feel like creating peace between Israel and the Palestinians should be a priority for the whole world. Very sad.

Thats kinda ironic seeing how you would've been the first to be hanged had you lived among Palestinians in the wb and gaza

The "lobbyist capture" shit is largely (although not completely) a myth. The fact is that US voters support Israel. It's 50/50 with Democrats and overwhelmingly with Republicans.

Fewer than 1 in 5 (!!!!!) Republican voters think the US government should "increase pressure" on Israel at all!

It’s lazy thinking.

Sure a they punch way above their weight in many fields but the support much to do with neo con/Cold War FP thinking, messianic right wing religious wing nuts in the Republican Party, Huntingtonesque ethno civilization based similarities, and western based post ww2 propaganda. The lobbying is part of it but it’s maintained by political culture of the USA’s own choosing.

As ridiculous as it may seem, a "no-state/new-state solution" is really the only way possible. Israel will never surrender it's lands back to Palestine, and Palestine will never be treated equally to Israel. You literally can't even say Palestine on mainstream media anymore, only "Palestinian Occupied Terroritories". That's how completely Israel has crushed a place that used to be a country. Besides that, the stated goal of zionists in the highest levels of Israeli govt (liberal zionism is still zionism) is to perpetually spout on and on about a an "equal two-state solution" as they grab more and more land, until there are no more Palestinians to occupy any of their new territory. "The significance of the disengagement plan is the freezing of the peace process, And when you freeze that process, you prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state, and you prevent a discussion on the refugees, the borders and Jerusalem. Effectively, this whole package called the Palestinian state, with all that it entails, has been removed indefinitely from our agenda. And all this with authority and permission. All with a presidential blessing and the ratification of both houses of Congress. The disengagement is actually formaldehyde, it supplies the amount of formaldehyde that is necessary so there will not be a political process with the Palestinians." -Dov Weisglass, advisor to former Israeli PM Ariel Sharon

Keep spouting your vaguely racist nonsense lmao.

when you say "the world" do you mean just the western world and muslim countries? all my friends supported armenia, but in overseas conflicts what more can you do than pick a side and say "shit sucks", especially when it's an unpopular one where you're at?

So you mean Israel should carry out a final solution of ethnically cleansing Gaza and the West Bank of Palestinians.

you make it sound like its the holocaust for palestinians when its more of a population transfer.

I believe it is over 1000 rockets fired during the last 24 hours which is unprecedented intensity. Compare that to 2014 when it was some 4000-5000 rockets fired during the 6 week "war".

I have to say that I am quite suprised that atleast so far I have seen no use of drones from Palestinian factions which I think they should be capable of producing/assembling and should be able to evade detection more easily than high flying rockets.

I respect it, but I hope you can recognize this gives you an extremely limited POV on any international issue.

Well, not necessarily. Chinese and russian news are even less trustworthy than Western media. I dont know any african media and honestly dont care. With regards to remaining relevant (meaning economic Power or big Population) countries, this leaves us with India, which I dislike due to their caste system. American/ british and German media generally cover topics that I care about, except they are often ridiculously biased, leading to me trying to find somewhat less biased POVs.So in that Sense you may be Right that one would have a only a Limited POV if He only read the Same media day in and day out. BTW I supported my armenian Brothers as well.
