Not sure I quite understood exactly what you are saying. But I think McLaren and Ferrari both improved their cars where RB didn't. I also think Perez is obviously struggling which is crushing RB's constructor standings.

Combo of better cars and better team of drivers.

Which Max is ahead not fun. I was in Vegas a couple of weeks before F1 last year and it's soul destroying what they do with The Strip so happy not to be doing it again.

To my knowledge, there was no direct confirmation or announcement to that effect,

but unless the old guy just stopped posting for some reason, it's what we're left to speculate about.

Some weird 10 second stop/go penalty (which is really like a 35 second penalty)
Hamilton straight up asking to quit - WTF?

I think since most of the standings are already done for the year, and a ton of drivers are losing spots or changing teams, they were all like......well fuck it....let's go out with a bang. If I crash, it's not going to matter anyway.
