It's great that we are being told not to express doubt that "undermines" our democracy while simultaneously being told to accept days or weeks long result tallying as the new norm. One would think an efficient and transparent process would be a prerequisite to assuaging doubt.

I'm sure you guys thought this was clever, but as usual there's a lot of context you're skipping here like...

The population was 10x smaller (including 4 million slaves) and of that population only 6% were eligible to vote anyway including the Confederates who didn't participate for some reason.

So basically the entire election during the Civil War was decided by a vote total smaller than just half a major city today.

You guys need to seriously fix your polling process. I kind of zoned this out for the night and morning and figured I'd look in to see whether Lake won the Arizona and it's still sitting at just shy of 70% two days out. I know it's kind of a meme at this point but, seriously, many third world shitholes manage these things better than you guys are managing. What's more, and I'll say it bluntly, if you can't get your shit together with counting them in a timely manner it really doesn't instill confidence that you're counting them in an accurate manner either, and you've had huge problems with that. Might want to get this shit solved so people actually trust your elections. Then again, that in itself has become a campaign strategy for team blue, so they probably want there to be a degree of uncertainty. "Why solve a problem when it being a problem gets you votes?" isn't exactly unheard of in politics.
