Trump is a crook and that's fraud/coercion. Using him as the benchmark would open up a whole can of worms everywhere. I get your point, but I see no reason to doubt his doctor. As you said, we'll see what the voters think soon enough.

So I’m not trying to map it exactly onto this but the point is a letter means little and I don’t think there’s really danger of liability to the doctor. The doctors opinion is Fetterman is fit to be in office backed by his reputation/ knowledge/ experience. Though I don’t go as far as thinking he’s intentionally lying in his statement, a believable scenario is he likes Fetterman whether personally or politically and has done enough in his mind to justify making that statement when the record might not be so clear of a picture. Also, had something happened in the future to Fetterman, that wouldn’t immediately implicate the doctor as he could say this is a new development that previously wasn’t foreseen when he wrote the letter. Ultimately, the record is going to have a lot less opinion and contain more blunt information.

It's a bit ridiculous to hear about disenfranchisement in the states from Dems when here in Canada you need both photo ID and proof of residence.

It varies incredibly by state so that's why there is a lot of confusion.
