I'm seeing claims that the Republicans won the popular vote by some 6 million votes. Not even sure how that would be counted. Anyone know where this is coming from, or is this just Republican wishful thinking?
florida was done and wrapped up on election night .. why are these other places taking so long to count votes .. you see .. this is why people get suspicious and don't trust these people .. shenanigans .. this is ridiculous .. 2 days later and the votes aren't all counted yet .. it should not be this way
Fetterman has a masters degree in public policy. He actually knows his shit.
This is an awful partisan false equivalency you're trying to make and it isn't going to work. Walker was picked to appeal to people because of his football background and his name recognition, same with Dr. Oz.
Stop comparing people who actually studied laws and policy and worked in government with celebrities. I think your smarter than this but you're hardcore team partisanship is getting in the way of you using your brain.
They saying AZ won't be finished until sometime next week lol.
those arizona retirees need like a week off after putting in a solid days work after sitting on their rocking chairs for the last two years
a group of sloths from brazil could have had this job done by yesterday
They just tally the votes for each party in all races. I'm not sure if they count those votes in unopposed races and I'm not sure if they include state-level races (like school board, state congress/senate, mayoral, etc.).
...and is in favor of emptying prisons of violent criminals and somehow believes that's a good public policy.
Apparently that's the quality of a Harvard education.
And they both suck.
Yeah, he's totally a genius.
and that is embarassing, the SOS, Katie Hobbs, should be ashamed at how poorly her election is ran
Arizona election officials are willing to work through Thanksgiving and even Christmas in order to give us the results like Florida was able to do within an hour of the polls closing.
this is the 3rd straight november major election where a dead person has won their seat. at this point i dont have alot of faith that most people are actually voting for the candidate at heart
So your problem is with his policies? That's not the same thing.
Let's say that democrats decide to rally behind some liberal Hollywood actor for senator. I'm not going to argue that they are more qualified over some Republican politician even if I dislike their policies.
You're comparing a football player to someone who at least has experience working in government for years, whether you agree with what he believes in or not is a different matter.
Republican running for president has won the popular vote just once in the last the last 30 years. What does that say about the republican party?https://www.texasmonthly.com/news-politics/texas-democrats-are-charlie-brown-of-political-parties/
If your party hasn't won an election in almost 30 years, I think it's safe to say it's incompetent.

how the fuck is that possible lol, like how is a dead person on the ballot
Katie Hobbs deserves to lose just based on this failure.

nahh its just the way it is. theres a fuck tonne of seniors that live in arizona. thats where they go to retire. they aint gonna stand around a polling station for hours and hours. especially when they turn on the news and theres younger hooligans with their guns out causing a ruckus.
just like those little old ladies ahead of you in the grocery store busting out their change purse to pay for their items, these old fucks are in no hurry to die. they probably waited until the last day before getting their grandchildren to come pick up their ballots and drop them off. its gonna take up to a week before these old geezers votes even get received and counted, just because of their states election laws allowing for this to happen.
nonetheless im still gonna bag on arizona and nevada hard. especially after the entire country of brazil could get their whole election done in just one night.
Republican running for president has won the popular vote just once in the last the last 30 years. What does that say about the republican party?
i dont know, but over 81 million people voted for him in november 2020!
im not completely certain on all of that but based on whats happened before, what im assuming is that there some kind of technicalities in the legislation that allows that person to still technically run if they died like within a month or so of their election. that way their party wouldnt have to frantically hurry to find another candidate to run and then have him campaign, and their party will still be able to run in that election. they'll put up the dead guy as their representative, but after the election is over they all sit down with the legislators and have a squabble and they work out who that seat will go to and they eventually work it out somehow through special hearings
at least thats what they did in north dakota in 2020 when that dead republican won. it took about a year for them to actually resolve it and figure out who gets to have that seat.
even though its been tried before, its not settled simply by a dude from the other party going to the state representives and then claiming "i got the 2nd highest number of votes in that election and that dude died last month so i should get the seat instead of that other party" and then having it work out. - theres a weird process behind it, but from what i understand that seat is still belonging to the winning parties jurisdiction and it usually goes back to party lines one way or another
i dont know why they have to work it out through the courts and lawmakers to determine which one of their party members gets the seat if a dead guy wins an election. i mean its fairly safe to say that if the constituents in that district were willing to vote in a dead person just to spite the other side, they really dont care who theyre actually voting for and it really shouldnt matter which candidate they are running - theyre gonna win their seat anyways if they ran against opposing parties. so in cases where a dead guy wins, it should go back to to the public to vote again, this time on a choice of candidates from that winning party. people supportive of the other parties won't have to vote if they dont want to, but at least it would come back to a democratic process of electing who gets that dead guys seat rather than working it out through legislature.
its weird as hell. but the way i see it if youre voting in a dead guy into office, either the opposition are absolutely terrible fucking candidates, or people are extremely partisan and dont give a shit if the candidate is dead, or even a modern day version of adolf hitler. theyre still voting for the guy representing their party anyways just to spite the other side.

them old dawgs probably counting the results and processing them as well
