Yup.

it is a very Trumpian smear @Fawlty is using, and that cannot be denied. And it is, taking words from @Jack V Savage something that can make the whole progressive project crash.

The Democratic establishment as a whole should be as active as possible in dispelling the Trumpian smear 'socialist' label as it is being used as a slight, as they KNOW what they are pretending it is which is not what Bernies current platform represents.

Do they think if Bernie wins that type of dishonesty won't be quoted by Trump. He will applaud and echo their dishonest use.

Is there enough awareness amongst the establishment Dems to see that or is only what Bernie bro's do destructive to long term success?

Its time for centrists to grow up, admit defeat, and unite the party like adults would do. This is not helping the dems and is only helping Trump.

They need to practice what they were preaching before what they were preaching in this election was relevant.

Its time to unite the party. The party is now a progressive party. I am pissed that they will not do what they said they would do and that they should do.

We need them to defeat Trump, the most dangerous president in modern history.

bernie gonna get those 500 cali delegates on my dads birfday

i'll admit I am being a little provocative in my posts here, but only minorly so.

i do find it ironic that in my estimation Bernie is by far the most maligned, misrepresented and attacked candidate both by Dem's and the Media, and yet the constant cry is by others on how bad he is and how bad his followers are.

I would be happy to go quote for quote and punch for punch on destructive things said and by whom, and know i could probably give 5:1 odds and still win showing Bernie is far more maligned than likely all others combined.

I think it's just that he's a good guy, and I think he'd be a fine president, but he really does have a bunch of awful people backing him who regard their allies as bigger enemies than their opponents. And that dynamic could cause the whole progressive project to crash.

Their "allies" threw the election away 4 years ago. There's still a lot of resentment there.

as a die hard Trumper Bernie is my most feared enemy....

because i think he can actually win

I am being provocative too by using the exact talking points they have been making since the media called this primary for Biden and the Butthead.

What we really need is for these intelligent and committed people to come over to the progressive side and fight against the common enemy in Trump and secondarily the republicans.

Do you think using the word socualaist to describe Bernie instead of democratic socialist, and not taking the time to qualify what it means, is soft support for a Trump second term?

I do. We need you guys to get on board man. We still have Trump to defeat and that is no joke and no easy task.

I dunno, man. Whatever label you want to put on it, Bernie's policies are pretty extreme relative to most people who are more moderate/independent and especially for conservatives who aren't fans of Trump. And after seeing basically all of the GOP falling in line behind Trump, it's not hard to see the Dems do the same with a president Bernie, which would be terrible in my opinion (especially if they win a filibuster proof majority in the Senate). Bernie winning with Republicans keeping the House and/or Senate would probably be the best result though.

They actually are not and people are showing that by their vote. People identify as moderates and centrists but they don't know what that label means because issue for issue they support UHC free college 15 dollar an hour minimum wage etc.

The labels don't match peoples policy positions.

Im sorry you don't want these policies. I don't stand to benefit from any of them. I support these policies for the good of all and especially the blue collar worker.

People should have a basic level of dignity of life and Bernie has the right idea about what that is.

It's on his website though:

Share Corporate Wealth with Workers. Under this plan, corporations with at least $100 million in annual revenue, corporations with at least $100 million in balance sheet total, and all publicly traded companies will be required to provide at least 2 percent of stock to their workers every year until the company is at least 20 percent owned by employees. This will be done through the issuing of new shares and the establishment of Democratic Employee Ownership Funds.
https://berniesanders.com/issues/corporate-accountability-and-democracy/

He wants to take 20% of everyone's stock equity and give it to Democratic Employee Ownership Funds.

He has stated many times that he is trying to remedy the wealth gap. That can't be done without the government redistributing all the wealth accrued when rich people go to the government with their hand out.....

Having workers own stock gives them more incentive to work harder while ensuring that greedy owners don't run off with all the fruits of their labor...

For investors out there, there will be a June swoon in the market when Bernie is more or less official. Not catastrophic but sizeable.
Corona virus will have the markets in the shitter long before then

It was.

Again as an outsider (take that as you will), you, more than most seem to enjoy taking passive aggressive shots at Sanders and his supporters.

A pretty consistent stream of poke, poke, poke, then cry and call them whiny when they react.
Nothing "passive" about it. They're little dirtballs.

It's so blatantly obvious what he's doing. He just called Sanders a socialist and then wants to act like everyone else is being irrational.
Wait do you idiots really believe it's a smear to call Bernie socialist?

Holy hell, you guys are thinking like people in a cult.

Obama paved the way for Bernie Sanders to be acceptable in national politics with his constant demonization of "the rich", discussion of wealth redistribution as a legitimate role for government, and anti-Western and anti-business attitudes.

Taking the country down the path of Socialism with the short-term, myopic justification of defeating a hated political enemy is a mistake.

Obama was a corporatist who did the bidding of wallstreet and gets no credit whatsoever for the progressive movement.

Thw rest of your framing is irrelevant and not descriptive of the movements motivations..

Which i have no issue with you blasting them with that. But it would be nice if you were not so sensitive an ready to cry about how bad they are if they fire back.

it is very Trumpian to cry victim while attacking.

What "crying victim" are you on about? This place is getting weird in a hurry as Bernie picks up momentum.
