Elections 2020 Candidate Matching (ISideWith)

How does one Live Action Role Play on a karate forum?
This is why I like to use "e-LARP" in cases like this.

And it's a doubly stupid thing to say, as love him or hate him, Trotsky's political philosophy knowledge puts most here to shame (including me), and I hear he's not too shabby with law. He has a hell of a mind, and Yorkist must be missing a lot of brain stuff, or simply doesn't read anything longer than a meme, to try characterizing Trots that way. It's almost too dumb to be real.

This type of stuff should be shared more in the public it would make people reassess party lines and stop closing off candidates from other sides.

I knew you were cool from the PBP threads in the Heavies.
{<redford}

You've actually got one of the more interesting results in the thread. Gabbard Klob Kasich Trump.

Four-way tie for 1st place between Beto, Bernie, Warren, and Tulsi at 95%

92% Green
91% Socialist
89% Democratic
65% Peace and Freedom

Interesting how progressive Beto and the Democratic party are on paper. Of course, if this measured their actual policies, it'd be way different. Similar to how Obama talked a wonderful, progressive game, but was actually very centrist.

That's why Booker/Klobuchar wouldn't be considered even though they were high on my results.
I strongly believe they are corporate Dems running a more lefty campaign because it's the trend now.

I must have done something wrong by answering most questions on my own...

Candidates:

John Kasich 76%
Amy Klobuchar 63%
Donald Trump 58%
Cory Booker 57%
Beto O’Rourke 56%
Joe Biden 52%
Pete Buttigieg 49%

Party:

Libertarian 86%
Republican 74%
Constitution 63%
Democratic 49%
Socialist 46%
Peace and Freedom 43%

I tried to answer every single question. There were still many (especially on immigration and campaign finance) that I'm not sure of my own position on (despite years of thinking about the issues off and on) and therefore left them blank. Also, there were multiple questions for which I had to enter a custom answer since my position was too complicated. For example, I believe in some pretty extreme pro-environment policies, but I believe they aren't constitutionally authorized federal functions.

Political party matches:

83% Libertarian Party
67% Constitution Party
49% Republican Party
41% Socialist Party
33% Green Party
24% Democratic Party
7% Peace and Freedom

Presidential candidate matches:

69% Gary Johnson
51% John Kasich
46% John Delaney
45% Andrew Yang
37% Donald Trump

I really don't see anything about her that stands out to me that I can't find a much better option for. On policy Warren is far superior, as a politician Biden, Bernie, Harris, Booker, etc. are all far superior. In other words her competitors are either far smarter and well educated or much more experienced with better policy views. For example if we compare her to Mayor Pete (who is the least serious experienced candidate or maybe all together) she's no match for him intellectually.

I think the necessary caveat here applies - if she wins I'd obviously vote for her over Trump. And she's better than the other super long shot no names running. There are some warning signs like her difficulty criticizing Assad.

Not a very good test:
87%-Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, Kirsten Gillibrand and Amy Klobuchar
50%-Donald Trump
