Jesus Christ!!.

Just like last round Luckyshot has what seems an insurmountable lead. Then 2 shit posters start their belligerent shit posting and the lead evaporated. One of the shit posters was in the thread earlier today screaming the campaign was over and only Lucky and clippy were left

You can't make this kind of shit up? Are these 2 DNC trolls actually working for the Cubo Campaign?

I mean, I feel bad for Lucky at this point.

I'm telling you, these picadors are @luckyshot's worst enemy. The forum hates them and try so nothing but buzzer around like pigeons shitting up his chances to win.

“Say no to turkey bastors in your ass”

Lmao bruh wtf. Y’all crackt out in here

Clippy is waging the greatest campaign in POWR Election history.

Let me know if you want me to engage in voters suppression.

If you can follow @Cubo de Sangre when he's driving on the highway and not so much run him off the road, but side swipe him a few times putting dents in his car and holding up a sign that says "drop out" as you look dead in his eyes for a second and speed off

That'd be cool

The people have spoken and the election is now over.

Everyone can go home now what a show

#4: persecution of journalists
#5: limiting free speech

Prosecuting Julian Assange for publishing leaked documents that proved the American public was being deceived by a wholly corrupt political party is the wet dream of Democrats and their establishment leadership. "Protection of democracy" GTFO with that trash
Here's the problem with this, and I'll be nice to you because you're worth saving.

You can't know, and neither can I, if the principles of free speech and free press apply to the potential prosecution of Assange. The way you have framed that presupposes that he was "speaking" legitimately when he coordinated with Russian intel and the Trump campaign. I find it highly unlikely that's true, though even then, we need to give him due process.

In other words, the principle that plays here is the rule of law (and protecting democracy). Only when we know the full scope of what Assange has done can we then determine if his actions were protected by free speech/free press. That's why I said I want to see the charges. Until we see the charges and the evidence, we don't know the extent to which he violated the law and committed espionage in league with a hostile power and a presidential campaign. There is so much meat on that bone that my personal opinion is that the result will be that he should do a long time in prison. However, I'm not willing to try him in secret or anything like that (though some of his misdeeds may be too hot for tv and have to be censored).

Do you at least see how going on about free speech/press is not applicable here, at least not at this point?

That woman right there is @JamesRussler -------------------------^^^

Just look at the Fawlty Lounge: they essentially wanted their own Mayberry Lounge but without the tedious, moronic presence of Mayberrians...which i can't fault them but it just goes to show their profound disdain for 'the common man', they claim to love so much.
Nah that's a bit silly. We have a nice thread for shooting the shit and housing thread derails. It wasn't my idea to start it, I'm playing caretaker and I think most of us enjoy shooting the shit.

Also note that America isn't going after Assange for the DNC emails. The Manning thing is the big one. People are letting their partisanship affect their judgment on this (based on the fantasy that the DNC hack revealed corruption), but it's not appropriate.

My comment in the original thread was this:

"To tune the focus back a little, I think (hope) that we all agree that A) gov'ts and especially private citizens have a legitimate need for privacy and B) there are instances where things that the gov't and private citizens want to keep secret should be public knowledge. So then the question comes down to the specific cases, and the process by which the answers are determined. That second part is where Assange's relationship with Putin comes in, and, again, I'd hope that we can all agree that the process is rotten. The first is something I'd like to see an informed discussion on as it relates to Assange."

Never really did see a breakdown on the first issue.

I have to admit that it's humbling getting the shit kicked out of us by a paperclip. When the day comes that you institute martial law, I'm hoping for a cushy office job. Maybe managing your friends in the supply closet?

How many of your votes are from irregulars? If it ends up between you and @luckyshot in the finals, then you have my vote.
