More to the point, I saw one time he strained to put my position (questioning a partisan attack) into a syllogism, and ended up badly distorting it (interpreting a claim that was two parts of a unified whole as two logically equivalent statements). He didn't know what to do after the correction so he just insisted that I said what I didn't say. Got the classic bundle:

1. The attempt to flex his Intro to Logic learning.
2. The flop in said attempt.
3. The petulant and dishonest reaction to the flop.
