Because the heavier belt is more prestigious. It stinks now that GSP is moving up. He had every excuse not to go to MW with size being front an center yet now he's facing someone who started at LHW. Firas said as early as last week he could take a LW fight, so all those years of saying "I need to bulk up" were bullshit.

He stopped saying he needed to bulk up years ago moron. Back in 2011 they said GSP would fight at MW at the same weight he fights at WW, ~185. That was after he DID bulk up. GSP used to walk around in the 170s, and was ~180 as late as Penn II in 2009.

GSP has been saying his whole career he could make LW, back when they were talking MW in 2011 they said GSP could make LW easy.

I knew it.. I said it on here many times, Bisping is only fighting GSP or Anderson Silva rematch. Not Romero or Jacare. UFC is hilarious these days, its fun to watch for the entertainment, but can't take it too seriously.

The problem is whoever wins we will just have the same problem again, Bisping won't fight Romero or Jacare and GSP will not fight them either, they are both awful style fights for GSP.
