It's usually 1,000. I didn't notice until it was maybe at 1,500 and it stayed going because we weren't sure at first how those threads will be handled. I think Shooter threads usually are just going to be one massive thread and topics like this will continue to be every 1,000. Sorry you didn't get the v11. I usually just send a post out for someone to follow up. I get that can sometimes hurt the content in the initial OP.

There was a specific comment at the end of V9 from another mod saying that lock+new wasn't necessary moving forwards. Thanks for clearing that up.

Yea, you'll notice with the shooter threads they started just going 2000k+. We realized with new developments in longer stories like the Russia case that it would be useful to continue doing new versions since new developments emerge. Obviously we might have to rethink how a new thread begins though.

GNN Responds to Eyebrows Raised over Homer Posting Style

First off I want to thank everyone for giving me this chance to speak bluntly about the Sanity campaign and @HomerThompson, our candidate, in particular.

We always knew that @HomerThompson had a little more spice than your cookie cutter sanity candidate. But these are the times we live in. More importantly GNN feels 100% justified in pointing out that if you were on the receiving end of a hot dog gif, you probably deserved it. Shit posters getting shit posted just seems like a more sane choice than enegaging with some of the nonesense that has gone on over the last year.

It's been pointed out that @irish_thug is a nice guy and that we should not blame who his supporters are on him. Well, it is true we agree he is a nice guy and GNN like us some thug. In addition we should not hold him accountable for the actions of others. But lets step back a second and look at who HE supports, rather than the other way around.

@irish_thug has repeatedly called @HomerThompson unfit for the presidency because of the use of the hot dog.gif, yet @irish_thug 's most favorite posters, that he has listed out for all to see, are a who's who of Deplorabots shitposters (some exceptions i.e. @Anung Un Rama LOVE YOU BRO NO HOMO NTTAWWT). It seems like shit posting is only ok to @irish_thug if it comes from the ALT REICH.

And that is the whole crux of what we are talking about. Palis and his zoo crew have made a mess of this place and a mockery out of the POTWR sticky. Now we have a "nice guy" in @irish_thug who wants to pick up the mantle, who in his own words is sympathetic to the "ALT REICH" , admires some of this groups biggest shitposters as his favorite, and has no real plan of his own for the sticky. From our perspective any vote for @irish_thug that does not come straight out of his Alt Fright Best of list, is absolutely INSANE.
