No more identity politics.
meh
Identity politics does a solid job isolating abuse in specific categories i.e. women's intl. health laws, racial discriminatory practices, LGBT violence worldwide that sort of thing - having an advocacy group narrow their focus to "violence in the black community" or "discrimination against disabled Hawaiians" makes that advocacy better directed instead of having to address the rights of hundreds of demographics simultaneously
First World countries are always fed up with identity politics because their own citizens champion these causes, in many cases from positions of privilege (they are, after all, citizens living in a highly modernized, developed environment) without a single nod to the impossibility of those identity politics a mere 20 years ago in countless contexts, or outright rejected by less modernized countries today, right now
Ignoring historical context 99% of the time, modernized nations become fed up with their own modernity and start getting nostalgic for regressive politics, i.e. removing identity politics and more recent categorizations of people that didn't have rights in generations previous, all for the sake of getting 'less noise' about dozens of different issues. Nobody likes getting 50 newsletters demanding a money pledge in the mail, we get it. But trashing identity politics is the reason we see women's advocacy on an international scale backslide even in progressive countries, immigration tolerances fall by the wayside, tribal laws preserved over State protections, all that stuff.
