*could care less

Yeah you are definitely painful.

The other RIP was at least funny

Got to love the war room spell check.

But yeah, a little too much cringe for my liking.

@RIPWarrior is a Canadian conservative. It stands to reason that he would vote for me. His only other option would be abstaining. Which wouldn't make sense for an active War Room poster. Him and I agree on some matters, disagree on others, like most people.

Guys quit picking on him , you're actually making me feel bad for rip lol

What are some things you agree with him on ?

Because he comes off as a hate filled pos 99% of the time

Yeah nothing out of the ordinary Venn diagram here, except that he is a downright fascist. But I guess that is "most people" for CPP Thug.

It certainly isn't for most Canadian Conservatives, and I say this as a former card carrying member of the Progressive Conservatives, the Canadian Alliance, and Conservative Party of Canada, as well as a member of the unite the right and attendee to the United Alternative Convention in 1999.

Emphasis on the progressive from where I'm standing.

Emphasis on the progressive from where I'm standing.

Emphasis on the "alt Reich" from where I am standing.

And maybe I just believed in free trade, markets, a limited but active government that still tried to solve problems through gradual evolution and harnessing market forces. Maybe I saw some areas where the govt could improve the market, i.e. Healthcare. Maybe I wanted all regions in the country to have a voice, not just Quebec and Ontario. And maybe I wanted to ensure the Liberals did not stay in power forever because the PCs and the Reform party were splitting the vote.

I was hardly a red Tory at the time and I certainly had enough exposure to the Canadian conservative movement to know that RIP would not and is still not acceptable. But given that I am not doning a Captain Canada cape as I "cringe" about Canadian values while I make common ground with the "literally Hitler" crowed, I'll wear the progressive label if it make you happy.
