I'm not going to judge either based on their voters and supporters, just on what I've seen of them individually. And its not like I hate Homer but he is more of a polarizing dick. Like I said, I'm usually on his side so it doesn't bother me but if he becomes POTWR I foresee a shitstorm that would overwhelm what little value the POTWR sticky might bring just as it did when Palis got elected.

If an idea lacks merit it will not stand the litmus test of open debate, and if the holder of that idea clings to it they become on old man yelling at the clouds. However silencing people without debate creates dissension and gives the holder of said idea support. I want bad ideas and good to be heard so they can be hashed out, and perhaps change a few minds.

I have stood on a platform of free speech and open debate. @HomerThompson is most famous for being Sherdog's English teacher, and spamming gifs to the point where they get removed.

Disavowing someone doesn't mean you silence them since they're still free to respond to your disavowal however they wish. Just be honest and say you want his backing for whatever its worth or I might end up voting for Homer after all.
