Good win for UK even tho Carolina played terrible.

I'm not looking forward to it being a night game.

I'll never complain about a win, but USC suffered some serious losses today which is gonna be tough with no bye week. Outside of Burnett the WR's are suspect. Hopefully Pittman coming back soon will give them a physical presence.
Who got hurt?

And once again, how stupid was Gary Anderson to leave Wisconsin for Oregon State?

Clemson has won at least 10 games 6 seasons a row (only Alabama has a longer active streak) and they've also finished at a higher rank than they've started 6 seasons in a row. Dabo has them at a point now where they can still be elite even with just adequate QB play.

Their QB play right now is better than adequate.

The lights just went out in the Stanford game.

Not surprised, they returned 15 starters from the 11-3 team.

Porter Guston was the biggest one. Didn't even expect him to play because he had surgery on his toe. I guess once he went out, the Texas QB was rolling to his side. The RT Edoga was trying to play with a cast on his arm, but then they had to put in a freshman who's not great at pass protection. I read Rasheem Green and Jack Jones were hurt as well.

Well, that 8 win season is probably not going to happen.

Good thing for Alabama that no SEC team has a passing game.
A lot of people have it wrong about beating Alabama. It's not necessarily a great QB. It just has to be a QB is isn't afraid to throw a ball up for grabs.

What it takes is large physical receivers. Guys who are tall and can fight for the ball. Bama' s DB's are actually usually in position when they get beat, they just get beat for the ball. Take a look at the teams that give Bama problems. Big, physical, receivers.

That along with the fact that the D line can't get pressure on the QB.

However, it's early, so we will see what the defense can come up with.

With Hurts, he will never be an elite passer, but I'll take what he does offer. Daboll needs to get him more intermediate throws and throws to the backs and tight ends.

All of this being said, anything less than a playoff run will be a disappointment.

Clemson and Oklahoma look scary.

IMO, there is a book on Saban era Alabama.

1. Don't bother trying to run the ball on them.

2. You must stuff the power inside run of Alabama or at least control it.

3. Don't take deep drops because Alabama's front7 will crush your QB.

4. Your QB needs to be mobile. Doesn't need to be a runner.

5. The front 7 is built to stuff the run. Pass the ball with 7-15 yd patterns and eventually the front 7 will gas pass rushing.

6. Hang in for the 4th qtr when the front 7 is gassed.

I don't think anything else beats Alabama.

Keep that book to yourself. Solid analysis. Add big, physical receivers to your list and it's spot on.
