I don't care if James Johnson's record was embellished, or his black belt handed out like a happy meal toy (it probably was) He'd still knock the shit out of Serge Ibaka.

Also, Gunt... lets be real about Goran Dragic, he's only tough in the way that he's ok with taking a beating, he's like Ed Norton in fight club, gets his ass beat and comes back for more.

I don't know him personally, i'm merely referencing articles from major US and Canadian Publications (numerous ones)

All that being said, all those players and coaches have seen him in action. I take their word over yours, clearly

most poeple are impressed with fancy kicks that dont often work in real fights. im sure you are. I bet you think Taewondo black belt makes a person a lethal weapon.


you also trust reporters fact finding more than you should. James and his dad told them those "facts". That was their proof. Then one reporter read it in a different article and coped it. Thats how it goes. Especially before the internet but even now with the power to look it up most people just take an articles or persons word for it.

I think the fact that Lames Johnson (lmao who the fuck is this guy) threw a sucker punch says everything we need to know about his relative confidence going into this confrontation. He knew the only chance he had was to blindside Iblanka. Added to this is the FACT that iblanka doubtless took Lames' best shot in sucker-punch form and wasn't even rattled. Lucky for Lames Iblanka knew this was a hoops game, not a $5,000/$5000 show/win, and respected the ref getting in the middle.

I think you praising someone for throwing a clear cheap shot might be revealing more than you want RE: your strategies in sweet science scenarios, CiH LOL.

I disagree, the blatant elbow was the first strike, everything after that is free game, and Ibaka had his one punch slipped and countered with ease.

Also, "cheap" shots are very under appreciated and brutally effective, no hidden agenda here, get out of line and I have no problems with striking first. Pretty sure no one is surprised as that's clearly in my character.
 
I generally come into this thread to get away from the human cawk-fighting discussion. Sad to see what this has devolved into. And yes, @Bay Area, devolved is a word.
