LOL! What is your proposed solution for that time?
That time? You mean Iraq? I thought that tangent was about Obamas's drones.
For Iraq: as I've stated before, Iraq was already in shambles due to the Iran-Iraq War, which is the main reason why they invaded Kuwait in the first place.
Iraq invaded Kuwait. 5,000 Kuwaities died in the invasion.
The US, along with the coalition..., pushed Iraq's shit in even deeper (in about a month). Iraq fled with its tail between its leg. They were ruined.
THEN we strapped on a near absolute embargo.
The more appropriate reponse would have been to work with Iraq, Saddam was an ally of ours before he scared the Saudies,and/or help those countries defend themselves from any future attacks.
As for drone strikes: the Iraq war was bogus, the invasion of Afghanistan was a huge mistake (assuming the reason was the War on Terror"). We lack the necessary intelligence to conduct a meaningful op against an ideology dispersed throughout the ME. The thing to have done there is work with the leadership in those countries providing support while we enhance our intelligence operations and secure our borders.
I don't know enough about the issue or whether your factual assertions are true, etc. It's not something that's ever come up to me except when you asserted that I supported them and I corrected the record, and then you kept repeating the assertion.
So you don't have opinion on 500,000 children being killed? Last time we had this conversation your reaponse was "what if Iraq attacked", as if to suggest the death of another 5000 Kuwaities was more egregious than the death of 500,000 children.
