Hillary definitely won the debate tonight.

That said, did either of them really say much about anything tonight? Did they get any kind of message across? All I can really recall are some zingers, and Donald Trump frantically rambling and defending himself on issues that shouldn't even matter.

Hillary sounded good, but what the hell was she even trying to get across on her platform? I don't remember much about anything she said other than how bad Trump is.

Anybody else come away with that?

It was a shitty debate but I think the winner still was clear. The polls had tightened to this point and it won't be a week until we can see the result of how this swayed voters. I can only imagine this being a hopeful push for Trump's team at best. Though I don't think Clinton came off charming or anything, I think this campaign is more about showing who is more competent. She looked more competent tonight.

So itt, we have all the dem WR posters saying Hillary dominated, and all the rep WR posters saying Trump dominated......I'm not surprised motherfuckers.

I think by the end it was damn close. The first 20 minutes was pretty brutal by Donald, he had her mounted.

Middle of the debates momentum shifted some and Hillary did an amazing reversal. Towards the end it was pretty back and forth, lots of blabbing no substance. I think Trump should have capitalized more on cyber security and Hillarys emails. She got him pretty good on the dead horse birther issue that she was hilariously involved in at one point then Trump cameback with a 1-2 about how disrespectful Hillary was to Obama especially running sn ad showing him in robes further insinuating something.

Decent debate, good laughs, close fight imo.

I don't know about the competent thing. I'd say more professional. However, there are so many close to home, real world events going on right now shaping the election, that it's hard to gauge how much stock people will put into all of this, and if they care who came off more professional, if they still disagree with the overall sentiment of the Democratic party.

I don't even think Trump personally did anything to catch up to Clinton. I think all the current events(tragedies), and the perceived Liberal soft stance on the perceived "core" of the problems made the gains for Trump. With these events seemingly happening every other day, it'll be interesting to see how much Trump's failure tonight impacts his current surge.

Agree completely, Donald was running away with it and she changed momentum with the tax return talks.

trump tonight complained hillary saying not nice things about him on her ads. hillary puts out ads with video of trump saying not nice things.

And CNN has already begun to inadvertently hurt Hillary's win tonight, by slobbering all over her for being the first woman presidential nominee. Like she's a special little snowflake, who deserves special treatment.

They were all yammering, and one guy brings up how Trump was interrupting her. The lead Hillary cheerleader on the panel(that bald beady eyed fairy who's always on Maher) then starts calling it "especially offensive" because she is the first woman nominee and you can't do that to the first woman nominee. You know, like she's handicapped. All the seals then barked and clapped in agreement. Except one lefty, who actually had the common sense to point out that they were doing her a disservice, and tainting her accomplishment. He'll probably be replaced on the panel next time. He's just not quite as stupid as the rest of them.

Given Trump tends to be favored here by a small margin, the fact that he's losing this poll 2:1:1(tie) tells me that most believe he lost.

Yes, he's slightly winning some entirely open online polls. That's why he's challenging incumbent President Ron Paul, and not Hillary Clinton.

Lights were too bright, 70%, overtrained, not at sea level, staph, etc.
If he says he was sick, I am going to have a hard time recovering from my laughter.

I heard on the radio that there is a presidential debate on today.

Can someone explain briefly how the greatest nation on earth and Free-est country in the world has only two options to vote in for the next president? I only ask because I don't really know how the system works.

You have a frail geriatric 68 year old woman who has social anxiety or sickness and is only there because she was married to a president in the 90s

And

A 70 year old propert tycoon who is rich and a somewhat comedic television personality who I legitimately thought entered politics as a joke.

How on earth did usa end up with not only 2 very poor and elderly candidates, but have no choice in changing them? Does it concern you that one of these two clowns will be running your country?!

Let me fill you in on a secret. It does not matter who the president is or will be. Your life is not going to change at all.

You're welcome.

Obviously, seeing as I don't live there.

I am amazed that a country who is very politically inclined has basically taken a big runny shit all over t heir own system.

Agreed. There's only one extreme or the other to choose from, or some independent candidate that nobody but like 5% (and that's generous) give a shit about.

And these two candidates are a complete joke. I'm waiting for someone to say it's a late April Fool's joke.

At least in Canada there are like 5 major parties to choose from that don't necessarily just fall on the far right or left and have a variety of ideas and philosophies on how to govern.
