Sounds like Rob Ford, the greatest mayor in the history of the world!!

I miss that guy. Toronto politics is back to being blandly corrupt instead of colorfully corrupt.

Somewhere between 20 and 30 plus magazine articles...and Sherdog manifestos (but I don't think those stimulate the brain).

Although I wouldn't call myself a Trump supporter just because I'm not a Hillary supporter..

Imagine when the Melania sex videos hit the web. The first lady of the US blowing some grizzled old french photographer while 2 slovenian guys beat off in her hair. Tremendous.

You make strong points. I must admit, I had some prejudice: I didn't think I'd meet as many Trump supporters I'd enjoy to debate and argue with. I was expecting more insults, callouts and "go back to your country" catchphrases.

I didn't focus on the "uneducated" side you're talking about but my point on having an open-mind is related for sure. But your critical thinking point is important: that's what I thought Trump supporters lacked the most. Quite frankly, it's hard for me to qualify someone who endorses "building a wall to keep dirty immigrants out" as a critical thinker. But following this thread has taught me that Tumpist are much more complex.

I still think some of them will disregard a lot of things because they support him unquestionably. That "Wall" idea might be single most idiotic idea ever proposed by a Presidential candidate. And don't get me started on forced deportation. Throwing illegals out? What if his brother, an American citizen, gets in your way and says "you're not touching my brother"?

Are you gonna kill the American citizen to protect him from his illegal immigrant brother? Think about it...

It. Does. Not. Make. Sense.

I supported Obama until all the anti-police rhetoric and CRT stuff began, so I am not even a Republican. I also live in a border state; it is easy to have an open border and love everybody when you don't deal with any of the consequences--also a reason why I supported Brexit. I think it is a country's responsibility to regulate and protect their border. The USA already has 13 million green cards waiting to become citizens and has a history of accepting immigrants; Remember Mexico has 122 million people. I also believe that an individual is responsible for his and his family's well-being so I don't blame them for trying to get across the border. I realize that seems like a conflict of interest, but there you have it.

He's technically not lying about it though. He didn't officially support, or not support anything. His opinion meant nothing.

Jesus how hard is this? Right now, during this campaign, he's repeatedly claimed that he opposed the invasion. There's absolutely nothing on record to back this up. It isn't just technically not a lie. It's a straight up, made out of whole cloth bullshit. There isn't any wiggle room.

Here's my question. Why do you care?

If tomorrow, Trump admitted that once upon a time he gave an inconsequential opinion lightly supporting the Iraq war on a shock jock radio show, what would your reaction be? Respect? HA! You'd celebrate like you won some kind of prize, and then criticize him for flip-flopping. You only care for personal satisfaction, like a hack journalist who catches people on "gotcha" questions. The whole thing is completely irrelevant.

There's a few reasons why it bothers me. First of all it's so casual and easily disproved and yet he keeps doubling and tripling down on it. It's isn't just a lie, it's an incredibly half-assed and lazy lie. Second, it's how the lie is being used by Trump and his scumbag supporters. This is being held up as evidence of his great judgement and leadership qualities. Finally, some people, myself included, actually did unequivocally come out against the war and explain why it was such stupid move. Now this yam-faced con-artist is now trying to take credit from people who actually got it right in the first place.

And again, equating his opinion to Hillary Clinton's official support, is as desperate as it gets. You want to know why Hillary Clinton can't deny it? Because it's officially on the record, as opposed to Trump's hard hitting political strategy questionnaire conducted by Howard Stern.

I didn't didn't equate the two. Maybe you quoted the wrong person and meant to respond to somebody else?

Gag orders. Gag orders everywhere.

I can't believe Trump had put so many gag orders. I don't know when he did it but it was a wise decision because it would have cost him an arm and a leg if he had waited too long.

I imagine the keeper of the tape is a rich man who'd lose everything if it gets out. I bet Trump even put a clause in the agreement where he can seize the money the guy gets if he sells the tape. All that on top of the huge bribe, that can also be seized if the tape leaks.

That's your future President, my American fellows!

@HereticBD

Here's Trump lying about opposing the Libya intervention. I think we're seeing a bit of a pattern here.

http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/06/trumps-libya-quagmire/485870/

The presumptive nominee skirmished with John Dickerson over whether or not he’d backed the U.S. intervention there during an appearance on Face the Nation on Sunday:

John Dickerson: Let me ask you about Libya. You have been highly critical of Libya and Hillary Clinton. You were also for military action to oust Qaddafi and military action to take care of the humanitarian situation in Libya. You supported that.

Donald Trump: When you say supported it, I supported Libya?

Dickerson: Yes, you supported the intervention in Libya.

Trump: I did? Where do you see that?

Dickerson then played video of Trump saying, “Now, we should go in. We should stop this guy, which would be very easy and very quick. We could do it surgically, stop him from doing it and save these lives.” Trump replied:

Trump: That’s a big difference from what we’re talking about.

Dickerson: But you were for intervention.

Trump tried to turn this into an argument about whether the aftermath of the intervention was handled well. (He also somewhat bafflingly boasted, “I made a lot of money with Qaddafi.”) You’d be hard-pressed to find people who would argue the aftermath was well-planned, but that’s not the question: Trump suggested that he had opposed the intervention from the start, and that turned out not to be true. The evidence shows he backed it. As Dickerson put it, “This is one of the things that confuses some people about your positions. You said you weren’t for intervention, but you were for intervention in Libya.”

I hate even thinking about 1L readings. It wasn't so much the complexity, but the anxiety of getting shit on in class by a professor or thinking you understand but not.

So, let's get this straight;

- Putin praises Trump
-Trump praises Putin
- Trump's campaign manager caught receiving money from Russia
- Trump publicly asks Russia to hack Clinton
- Russia hacks DNC
- Trump goes on Russian tv station

Gee, I wonder if comrade Trump has ties to Russia.

According to Time, he has many many many many ties (yes, they used "many" 4 times)

The attacks on Trump are looking increasingly desperate. And its not because all of the attacks are baseless though most are...no its the fact that whatever you can say about Trump pales in comparison to the giant turd sandwich on the other side.

I mean she is really really bad on every single level and its becoming impossible to spin any longer.

Here's my question. Why do you care?

Good lord - how many times does he have to spell it out. Trump made a huge deal about his opposition in the primaries and it was a complete lie and a popular position. It's not about his stance it's about him getting away with making desperate statements that untrue and no one calling him on it - especially no Republicans.

Perhaps it's because they don't take some passing comment made on The Howard Stern Show as a full endorsement of the war in Iraq all that seriously.

What Trump said:

"Yeah, I guess. It should've been done right the first time though"

What Libbies heard:

"I support the war in Iraq 100%. No wait, 110%!!! I love the idea. It's gonna be a great war."

Let's just get this election over with already...

This thing has turned many quality sherbros into shitposters.

Vote Trump to de-escalate our showdown in Syria and the middle east. She is guaranteed to take it to a new level and go toe to toe with Russia.

...I feel like this is one of those posts I am going to bump in about a year and say, "I told you so"...
I thought Trump wanted a plan on his desk to defeat ISIS 30 days after taking office ?
