Cruz is beyond underwhelming .... but no doubt he has die hard supporters at the convention.

People in the audience are teary-eyed at the boring platitudes.
 
Nobody outside this convention understands we are not the only free country.

It feels literally like the exact same speeches he was giving when running for the nomination.
 
cruz definitely hedging on that trump isnt winning. cruz has always been a calculated guy.

Absolutely. Cruz seems about as disingenuous as a sankeoil salesman to me, but I actually think he's a good speaker even if he sticks to the same themes and, as you said, platitudes.
 
Crowd turned on him big time. Like a WWE type event or something- where the guy turns massive heel in a single promo.
