Elections 2016 Democratic National Convention

I actually thought the first night was incredible. You got great spirit from those in attendance. The speakers were good. Booker was incredible. Sarah Silverman was funny as hell and right on. Al Franken was awesome. Elizabeth Warren showed why so many people love her. And of course Michelle Obama was the highlight of any speaker and either convention.

Welcome back, EV.

They've actually done studies on this. It is true that Bernie was mentioned less, especially early on. The dems got less coverage in general early on, and Hillary as frontrunner got the larger share. That evened out later in the campaign as the GOP race died down and Bernie's momentum gained.

On the other hand, those same studies showed that Bernie got BY FAR the most favorable treatment as far as positive vs. negative coverage. A big part of this was because Bernie ran clean. But the fact remains, no candidate got a higher percentage of favorable coverage than Bernie.
well ya, b/c he didn't lie, cheat, say racist shit, etc....

clearly he SHOULD have the most positive coverage

It's funny that the highlight of the first night for both conventions was a Michelle Obama speech.

That was just sad to watch. Bernie has completely sold out and is now no better than Hillary.

Has he passed any significant legislation during his long career as a politician?

Or is he just the left's version of Ron Paul?
Don't try to change the conversation to worm out of your silliness.

Say whatever else you want about the guy, but if Bernie had wanted to use his life of public service to become a very rich man, as so many career politicians do, he would be.

He didn't.

Gotta give him that

Worm out of what? He's a career politician. He just wasn't a very good one.

He's made a very good salary compared to the US Median income and has great benefits along with a pension.

He didn't use his position to get wealthy, he also didn't really use it to do anything it seems.

Damn. I must be an idiot. Funny for a female comedian and think she is good looking. Would wife that!
I have to agree, I don't find many female comedians funny but i do find her to be funny at times and to me she's very attractive. Don't know if I could wife her though, couldn't handle the torrent of quips and insults I'd get from her daily if I left the toilet seat up or stuff like that.

Wait, is your position that good politicians are defined by how much money they make? In other words, they use their positions of power to make money for themselves?

God damn that's a new one.

Also, it seems you haven't been paying attention to current politics. Bernie has a massive following my man and you can argue he is actually more influentional than anyone in the House.

No I was just saying he didn't really get anything done which was outlined in that article I posted. He was a career politician who didn't really do anything until he just so happened to find himself in the right place at the right time.

Does Bernie have a massive following from his own doing or did his brand of rhetoric just start to resonate with people at the right time.

Like I said he's the Ron Paul of he left, found himself in the right place at the right time.
