Urban Meyer is the god damn greatest. Ohio State didn't play that well in the first half against Wisconsin, but don't get it twisted folks Wisconsin is very, very good. Easily the best team Ohio State has played this year. JT hasn't really performed well in the last two weeks, but I will say his leadership was definitely on display in the second half. The defense made good adjustments for the second half and played better.
He's a great coach, I'd respect him a lot more though if he didn't fake heart problems just to get out of his contract at Florida.

You didn't see that when it happened?

dumbass and dumbass wouldn't stop talking about it for like 5 minutes
I didn't get to catch the whole game unfortunately. Those two get worse every game.

Cool.

How?
So worried about his health

Big 12 conference is a dumpster fire on and off the field. Being held up by a thread at this point.

And no expansion pretty much guarantees that Herman is gone.
I'd love to have OU and Texas in the SEC.

Wasn't that when he was called for the sideline infraction because the officials arm hit him in the head when he wound the clock? Meyer should have been called for that on almost every play. For some reason Urban Meyer thinks rules don't apply to him. He wasn't just on the white strip, he was actually on the field several times during a play.

The rules don't apply to Urban Meyer or Nick Saban.

They actually make $140/wk when you factor in Pell Grants. Half of Alabama players are on a Pell grant. Cumulatively the players make $550,000/yr IIRC.

If you look at the net revenue from sports, it isn't that much. I'll only comment about the university of Michigan because I know something about their numbers.

- out of state tuition is $42,000. Books, food, residence adds up to $55,000/yr
- all of those other sports (remember title IX?) cost money and bring in no revenue.
- The net revenue from UMich football after expenses is something like $50m but virtually all of that money goes to pay for other sports.

The main reason sports are a money maker IMHO is that it keeps alumni engaged and propels endowments. Michigan makes less than $10m from sports a year but when Stephen Ross, Alfred Taubman or the Wilpons write a check, it's for $200m a shot.

I suspect many Alabama players or someone in their family gets considerably more money than $140/week. The NCAA just isn't interested in investigating.

I would've much rather preferred that outcome had it happened, instead of joining for all sports. Definitely makes more since logistically.

eh bring on UConn basketball, football can stay far away, and I say that with the most respect possible

anyway Texas will be independent, OU and OSU to the SEC, Kansas to the B1G, KState, Iowa St., TCU, Baylor, Texas Tech make a new conference with BYU, Houston, Boise St. and possibly Colorado St., SMU, and New Mexico

Houston's struggles the last two games prove Herman isn't ready for the big time. I mean, unranked Navy beat them and put 46 on them. Then unranked Tulsa came within a literal inch of taking them to OT.

Texas or any other big school would be wise to look elsewhere.
