Ibaka doesnt make the Craps a Title contender and it doesn't make the Celtics one either. So if you're not gonna re-sign him its pointless to give up assets to bring him in. If you want to bring him back next year and match the MAX offer Brooklyn throws at him, then good for you.

Raps had 56 wins with Luis Scola starting last year. Had a rookie starting this year. Lowry/DeKobe have been beasting with no real 3rd option for 3 years.

if you dont think this move immediately improves the Raps in a very meaningful way you are fooling yourself.


Once Patty gets healthy the Raps still have Sully/Siakim loads of PGs, Carroll and potentially JV they could move plus their own future picks if the right parts become available. Namely Wilson Chandler or PJ Tucker is who sources around Masai say he is targeting.

Those additions might not be enough to beat LBJ but he is a ATG its always going to be tough to beat him. Using any move as "its not enough" is a losers mentality way to look at the situation. You have to give it your best chance and go from there. Lowry at 31 his window is now.



Its a legit steal of a move and very savvy. Ross is nice but he flat out doesnt have the mentality to ever be what his potential shows he could be. He is soft. Orlando going to want him to step up. Raps dont need Ibaka to be anything other than what he already is. An above average starting PF who can stretch the floor, decently rebound and defend his position/provide help for JV.
