In that case he should go play in Tampa. Nobody gives a fuck about baseball over there lol

:/, it's true. Weird thing is though, baseball is the biggest sport in Florida, everyone plays it and the talent level here is absurd compared to most states. We also have quite a few powerhouse HS's and UF,FSU,Miami are all great at baseball. Just no one gives a shit about the Marlins/Rays. Most people are fans of other teams, it also sucks so many teams have spring training here. I like 10 minutes from Steinbrenner field where NY plays spring ball and we have more Yanks fans here than Rays, they sell out all the time for spring training.

It's exactly why Super Bowl crowds usually suck. Bunch of rich people that usually aren't even big fans of either team.

Super Bowl sucks regardless. The amount of commercials they implement and the extended length of the TV timeouts, completely takes the wind out of the sails. It's like one big infomercial event.

I knew it sucked when I was about 16 and at a SB party and the ladies were more interested in the commercials than the guys were in the actual game.

The Marlins baffle me. That team has actually won something... Twice! Mind you, its very easy to push a fan base away, when you can't find a way to remain competitive after you've won it all.

The Rays, I blame that shithole stadium.

They could have easily stayed competitive, they decided to fire sale their team both times because they didn't wanna pay them.

You got it all wrong, dude. You need to line up some beer cans, and throw the babies at them. Hood target practice.

Can you provide the babies? I don't have a guy for that.

I will check it out. Thanks for the read.

Before game 5 of the stros/royals game my buddy asked who I would rather play, I said Houston because I felt we could have had an edge in experience I.e. correa miscue at SS in game 4

I explained that the Royals were similar to the Jays in that they had an emotional and intense team, and a lot of assholes not liked around the league like Moustakas, Hosmer, Ventura.

He said that's why he wanted to face the Royals. Said that the Jays played better when they were mad, that's the kinda series those guys want. After thinking about it, I believe he's right. This series is gonna be nasty and gritty.

I'm setting the O/U on the benches clearing this series at 3.5

No prob and I'm still pissed the Stros fucked that off.

I think twice

When you're shit for a long time, its actually easier to attract your fans. Because people will stick around thinking that the thrill of victory will feel so much better after all of the year of agony and defeat.

But if you won a championship a few years prior, a lot of fans will be like, I got my fill, I'm cool with losing for a while now, I'll check back when the team is good again.

Exactly what happened with Toronto after the early 90's.

Don't think they have the paycheck he is looking for

You guys will be better for it. Gotta learn to crawl before you walk, homie.

That's true, they're nearly bankrupt with the massive deal they're paying Steven Souza Jr.

SB is awesome to be at. It's a nonstop party. I've been lucky on the games i went to as they were good

That's how the Rays were after 08, basically fans tune out around here until the yoffs. Like I said, we have a ton of talented players, and people that love the game, they just aren't fans of the Rays/Marlins, I blame a lot of on the fact that there's a ton of tourists here and like I said before, 4 teams play spring training here. Phillies, Toronto, yanks, Sox and the Red Sox and Yanks have way more fans around here than the Rays.

I know but they were there. Need a bullpen though and another bat

Also why the Yankees crowd is nothing like it used to be. very corporate crowd now.
