2014 NFL Draft Discussion v4

Is there a possibility Denver could get a QB in this draft early, especially with Peyton aging and still dealing with nerve issues? I don't know how sold management or Broncos fans are with Brock Osweiler.

McCarron is not NFL ready at the moment but he has the potential to be a starter. Size and mechanics wise all the physical tools are there. I would like to see him drafted somewhere with an established starter and learn under them for a bit. 1 or 2 seasons under Peyton and he'd have some value. Plus I don't think they'd have to really reach for him like some of the other QB's.

Just use common sense man. Why in the world would the Jets spend a 1st Round pick on a QB.

Because drafts always go by what we think they should right?

You didnt agree with the CJ rumors either. Howd that turn out?

Charley Casserly bringing his A game to NFL network on draft day, Reggie Roby and Terry Bridgewater.

If Watkins goes to Jac at 3, who does Cleveland draft? I really want to see them get Watkins at 4 and Bridgewater/Carr at 26. Cleveland's line up is starting to come together... I'm hoping for a bounce back 2014.

Matthews.

Atl seems to be the most intriguing team at 6 because the cost to get into the top 5 this year will be far too great.. And like i said, i doubt G-Rob or Lewan will be there and i'm not sold on Jake Mathews being as much of an asset to that team as Eric Ebron would be..

One man's opinion.

I doubt Lewan goes over Matthews, no matter the recent murmurs.

Matthews would be a MUCH greater asset than Ebron. It's not even close.

Jets/WR stuff is a smokescreen. They will go defense in Round 1. CB or S, Barr if he falls.

Jags are equally as intriguing and someone help me to understand the thinking here..

Everyone wants to say need over talent for Atl, but then when they see Jacksonville sitting there three spots earlier with a glaring need at quarterback, peeps saying they should go defense??

It just makes absolutely no sense at all, to me.

Because your offense is already good right now, and your defense is shit

edit: meant your offense in terms of playmakers. You could use some oline help too

They aren't a QB away.
There isn't an elite QB prospect in this draft.

I think Manziel is still a possibility for them but not the likely choice.

Alex, most exciting day of the year, Christmas or Draft Day?

You don't leave the basement overdrafting people based on positional need. Ideally, you draft according to BPA.

The Falcons have a window and they have elite prospects at positions of need. Not that complicated.

Oh, you think the Bucs are going to take Manziel, eh?
