I gotta think the NBA teams already certain that the salary cap will go up big after the new TV deals kick in if a team like Cleveland is willing to give 63 million to Gordan Hayward.
 
2nd yr team option makes that deal not as bad. I still remember the shootout duel he had vs Celtics with Ray Allen in 09' in the playoffs.

 
i am beyond besmirched and rustled at letting jameer go and now we sign gordon whos a known quitter ??

i mean i guess i can get it if we use his deal in a trade BUT WHAT THE FUCK HENNY
 
Hayward has gotten worse every single year he's been in the league.
 
The NBA gives out some of the worst contracts of any professional league.

Meeks overpaid
Gordon overpaid
Bradley overpaid

The market is completely fucked.
 
Hayward's averages & per-36 numbers are actually up and his %'s are down but that's expected with an increase in usage.
 
The rule forcing teams to spend to a min threshold of the cap is really artificially besmirching the FA market
 
If Hayward gets that type of money, there goes my hopes of GS trying to sign Klay Thompson for 40-44 m over 4 years. Gotta trade him for Kevin Love now.

That had to be one of the best series of all time.
 
That series is basically Ben Gordon's syndication money.
 
Will always be a Gordon fan.

It really does. There's a higher percentage of grossly overpaid players in the NBA than in any other league-- by far. Even the MLB.
 
Trust me, hockey is much worse.

No sport overpays more for "Intangibles" then hockey.

I still remember when the Celtics gave Mark Blount 4 years $30mil, immediately regretted it, and packaged as much as they could to dump him for Olowakandi and Szczerbiak 40 games later. Danny truly is a genius.
 
CJ Miles signs 4 year 18 mil by the pacers. lol @ another atrocious contract. That means the end of Lance.
