I think the quality of Dagger's posting leads people to forget he's Canadian tbh
 
Dagger did some late season tanking to duck me in the playoffs but I'm not sure that's technically considered cheating. Regardless it didn't matter, I had a new wave of injuries for the playoffs so Dagger would've likely squeaked by me anyways.

Nothing wrong with strategic tanking to determine playoff position. Can't wait for this season, going to crush you cans.
 
Honestly it feels like a dream what the Spurs did. After last year I was just down, and now, wow. Im sure randomly at work/social events Ill just yell out YES!! or go Spurs go! 99, 03 and 05 were great too. Couldnt completely enjoy 07 cause of life circumstances. But this one just Ahhhhhhhhhhhh

all signs point to the Raptors giving KL 12mil a year. Overpaying as usual......


last year reminded me alot of 06-07, won the division off the back of a few guys having career years + a ridiuclously weak division/conference, lose to the nets, fanbase with ridiculous expectations coming into the next few years only to be disappointed.

Masai was literally seconds away from blowing up the whole thing, trading Lowry and tanking but NYC bawked last min and Raps started winning so he rolled the dice. Now all Raptors fan acting like we so close to being legit but really we are more than a few pieces away.


In a lot of ways i think we would have been better off tanking and waiting for 2016 to really make our mark. The future pretty much all hinges on JV's development at this point and he wont be ready to be a big time player for a few more years.

Why? Drake has made some CLASSICS in his time. His run back in 09 was GOAT level. Hit after hit.

Spot on analysis from a random. Really wish Masai tanked it properly last season and blew it up. Would have been nice to pick up some picks and assets and just tank for Wiggins while letting JV carry the burden. I really wonder if the Raps tank if they would have been handed Wiggins in rigged fashion.

Raptors won't contend with this current roster, they will most likely never make it out of the second round even in this absurdly weak EC. I think their best bet would to build a decent roster and hope that Wiggins comes home.

Masai has said since day one that his goal to is to contend in 2016. Everything he's doing right now points to that. He has his key pieces locked up (JV, Ross, Lowry tomorrow, Demar even if we use him as trade bait next year), and the rest are expirings at the end of this season, or can be easily traded (minus Fields).

Next year's offseason is going to be a big one for the Faps. I expect them to make the playoffs this season, but that's about it.
