i know you being a knicks fan must be used to guys wanting to leave but in here in laker land, other then pussy ass dwight, no one wants to leave on their own will.

You're confused. If anything, you could say that players are afraid of signing with the Knicks, but the majority of those that come, want to stay, and feel terrible when they are traded or cut - even when the Knicks sucked.

In the past few seasons, starting from Phil, pretty much everyone has left the Lakers by choice. Colby has run everyone out of town, and the icing on the cake will be when Pua leaves this year.

Oh, damn. Swaggy P getting pump faked by a 5 year old. fail

im content with this magic team

would like to pick up a savvy veteran at some point

I think they had a terrible draft week. Moved Afflalo for Founier and a late 2nd. Bad trade. They could have done better in season dealing to a team looking to contend. Then apparently there draft strategy is to grab hard working, athletic guys but none of them can shoot.Harkless, Oladipo, Gordon, Payton. Its kind of ridiculous.

im good with it because you can teach shooting.. cant teach stubborn defense

wasnt too thrilled with the afflalo trade tho, i felt we got jipped but i guess its better to get something out of him...although we shouldve waited

lmfao

It's the opposite.

Defense is about effort. Work hard enough, you can become decent.

If your a shitty shooter, chances are you're not gonna get much better once drafted.

tis why we need to pick up a solid veteren

but oladipo will get good at shooting...same with payton.. i have confidence

In something that is unlikely to happen?

Can I interest you in getting your Thetan levels tested?

yeah unless you're the Spurs and you have Chip Engelland as your shooting coach I wouldn't expect too much improvement soon.... It's gonna take years...

Hell, Mark Price hasn't put a dent in Michael Kidd-Gilchrist's broken form. Blake Griffin's coach took two seasons to make Blake a fringe 70ft% and Blake's a gym rat.

Magic's forward's are very athletic though.

Surprise Jordan didn't draft a Michael James McAdoo. He's a Tarheel fan for life. Maybe he'll invite him to a workout with the team.

Oladipo, Harkless, Harris, and obviously the rooks are all 21yo or younger. Their 3p% last season:

Oladipo - .327
Harkless - .383
Harris - .254

2013-14's top G/F perimeter scorers and their 3p% at age 21:

Durant - .365
Carmelo - .243
LeBern - .335
K-Love - .330
Harden - .349
S Curry - .437
DeRozan - .096

Only Curry and possibly Durant are natural pure shooters yet all of these guys outside of DeRozan are considered above average to great outside shooters now. It would actually be abnormal for Orlando's young swing scorers to not significantly improve their outside shooting these next couple of years or so as they all have pretty functional shooting mechanics (in other words, this isn't a case of MKG)

Lol @ Chilly. Derelict is the easy example that smirches what you just said. You should know that. D Level fan.

lol @ comparing those Orlando cans to the Melo's and Harden's of the world.

I could probably list dozens and dozens of players who were shitty shooters coming in to the league, and are still shitty shooters now.

Kinda stoned though, so I'll wait for someone else to do it.

Neber expected Derick to be a good shooter, would be nice.

He's a slasher. His 3 point shooting has gotten slightly better over the years though

With the exception of Tobias Harris, these Orlando players we're talking about were all lottery picks

Oladipo - 2nd overall pick
Harkless - 15th overall pick (and already an above-avg 3pt shooter)
Harris - 19th overall pick
Gordon - 4th overall pick
Payton - 10th overall pick

These aren't random cans who were drafted to be the next Thabo Serfoloshit, the Magic are expecting at least 2-3 of these guys to develop into legit All-Star level players. Which is a reasonable expectation.
