Holy crap....has there been an update on his condition? that looks wicked nasty

noticed some people itt were concerned about an injury like this happening to them, you guys have nothing to worry about. it's almost always the high-level athletes who are victim to these types of injuries, because they play with so much force and put their bodies under huge stress, basically only me or breakit would have to worry about injuries like these. most of you just need to watch out for the laymen injuries like a rolled ankle, sore back, stiffness, getting winded, etc.

Nah, I've had a major issue with how close they seat the fans on the sidelines, with how close they seat the photographers they seat on the baseline, and how close the hoop bases have been to the court for a long time.

It's time they started caring a little bit about the athletes' safety. Most high school players enjoy more space and safety in their gyms than NCAA, NBA, and FIBA players. It's absurd.

I meant for the average person playing pick up ball. They definitely need to clear out those photographers. They had a lot more room in the 90s to run off.

Hanging off your favorite player's nutsack makes you a high level athlete?

That's news to me.

I'd rather break my leg than tear knee ligaments if I'm an NBA player. He leg should be fine once he heals up. Props to George handling it like a true G, barely even winced. Was probably in shock.

Though the Cavs fan in me instantly thought "Well, the road to the finals just got a little easier". Hope he comes back strong.

Most of the pseudo analysts ITT can't dream of playing @ a level where injuries like this are possible.

BD and Kadark showing how to play man defense and protect the rim. Way to move those feet on D, BD.

You know you couldn't pay me to sit through a full UFC card but I would actually pay top dollar to watch a BD vs Kderk game of 21

It would be one of the greatest 1 on 1s of all time.

A literal "last man standing" affair as I could see BD having a stroke and Kadurp reacting by running into some forest and cutting himself to death

It would certainly be more competitive than the quick fast 21-0ing I'd give BD.

Oddly enough, the worst injury ive had from playing bball (after playing at a relatively high level until like two years ago, not wuite alleged BD but still) was a nasty elbow I caught to the dome on a rebound. Had a huge UFC style cut all through my eyebrow. Was pretty horrendous but barely noticeable after 30 stitches.

Ive severely rolled ankle and had ligament strains, but couldn't even fathom a Shaun Livingston or PG type injury.

They're really not that bad. When I was seven I jumped off a swing set trying to embarrass a hoe. I landed with my hands straight out to catch the ground like a retard and ended up besmirching my left radius and ulna. I was too embarrassed to tell anyone that my arm didn't feel right until months later when I could no longer take the pain. Turns out the radius and ulna were growing into eachother forming a single bone. Granted that's not exactly how it happened and I exaggerated some things but it's pretty much a true story.

Nah what really happened is I toughed it out for about half a day then the next morning I went to the hospital. The pseudodoctor put on one of those normal casts that run from knuckle to elbow. Wore that for what seemed like half my life then when it was about time to take it off they decided to give the 'ole X-rays a look and that's when we learned that I had become a one boned arm freak. So I had to have an operation where they literally took a hammer to my arm to break the bone and reset it. The new cast was preposterous, it extended from my hand all the way to my shoulder and it was shaped like an "S"

Pretty much ruined what had been shaping up to be a pretty promising elementary school career

It was a A level athletes reaction for sure. PG barely had one it seemed.

i slightly tore my achilles when i was a young lad , playing the sweet game.
