Im almost certain i could strike Canzynski out, just throw him curveballs in the dirt for days.

That was the biggest thing the Sox overlooked with him, he doesnt get on base. Sox are know for grinding out AB's(when they're winning), getting starters out of the game after 5 innings. I wanna say 90% of the time AJ saw 3 pitches or less per AB. Guy grounds into double plays like its his job.

His money is irrelevant, i highly doubt the Giants are paying much/any of his remaining salary.

I remember Brad Penny having a 6 ERA in 09, Sox DFA'd him the Gicants signed him and he had like a 2.5 ERA the rest of the year.

Boston pitched in 1mil so giants are on the hook for the rest, he isn't worth a good prospect at this point
