He should have just not said anything about it in the first place, even if it was true. Not the biggest deal but when a game means home field advantage thats not something you should have brought up. That interview during the game where hes trying to backtrack was really awkward too.

Am I missing something? Bucholz has a ERA closer to 6 and Shields is solid, seems like an easy bet so I much be overlooking something.
