Lol, i remember when this guy was considered a godly pitcher like what a year or two ago.
Yanks fans seem a little too excited about success in April lol
You might have won a few lately.... But the Yankees own your guys souls still. They can do what ever they want.
I don't really give a shit what Theo thinks... You need to add quality veteran FAs to make a team compete. This team cannot score. All they have is Rizzo and Castro. Why not go after Ellsbury? It instantly makes you 100% better. Be good while you develop. I just don't understand this burn it to the ground and wait 5 years for guys you hope are gonna be good.
This outfield has to be the worst in baseball... Nate Schierholtz is a platoon player in a weak OF at best, Sweeney is a huge can, I like Lake, but hes a 3rd OFer and don't even get me started on Kalish.
Plus, if you're gonna have guys like Olt up.... Let the fucking guy play everyday. He likely is a guy that will be dealt once Villanueva and or Bryant are ready to come up. Audition him to other teams now. I like Luis Valbuena, but hes not an everyday guy. Hes a great bench player.
Its just so frustrating to watch a big market team spend nothing. At least when the Tribune had control and Hendry was the GM they weren't afraid to go after it. I mean look if Wood and Prior don't get abused by Dusty, Hendry may still have a job. He did draft Baez and Starlin.... And Andrew Cashner, who is a fucking boss in SD. He also trade raped the Pirates for Aramis Ramirez. He made mistakes too, but holy fuck, Come on. Ricketts you POS quit worrying about pennies and win. Bring in some quality FAs.
Theo's biggest sign so far... Edwin Jackson. Its not like he hasn't tried to bring guys in... Hes just wiffed in a bad way. Then fucking panicked and signed Jackson to an absurb deal. Theo has an eye for talent, but its becoming very telling he can't bring guys in to play for him. He missed on Sanchez and likely was fucked by Ricketts with Tanaka.
You add Tanaka and Ellsbury to the Cubs and they're a totally different team and much better set up to be a contender sooner.
The Sox have won 3 times in the last 10 years, nobody owns our souls lol. Pulling the total championships card is for the birds.
