"The X Factor" Jonny Gomes goes up to walk every AB, zero intention of swinging unless he absolutely has to.

Sounds boring. At least he doesn't bitch and moan quite as much as that Napolican. That guy is a fucking crybaby.

I think maybe you have Napoli confused with Gomes, ive literally never heard Napoli complain about anything. Meanwhile Gomes is always bitching about playing time.

Napoli probably one of the coolest dudes in baseball. Blacks out and walks around Boston drinking Fireball like you read about.

I'm talking about at the plate. Napoli has never seen a called strike he didn't make a big production about, at least whenever I see them play. I don't hear about the Boston off-field stuff here.

Again im 100% sure you are talking about Gomes now after that one..

There have literally been a dozen times this year where Gomes took a strike right down the middle on ball 3 and tried walking down to first like it was a walk.

No, I mean Napoli. Maybe he saves it for when he plays us and nationally televised games, but I watched him bitch about every single call in that season opening series. And one of those Yankee games.

What major leaguer doesn't bitch about called strikes? They all think if they don't swing it was a ball.

None are immune, there's no doubt. But he was making a big production about every single call. It was incredibly annoying. Enough that it really stuck out to me, and I agree, some griping is to be expected from everyone.

Every single call, seems a little bit of an exaggeration. The behind the plate umps this year so far have been brutal though so ive been seeing a lot of complaints. Napoli hasnt stuck out to me in terms of complaining though.

That ump from the Yankees Sunday night game was the worst ive seen all year. Calling those 2 seam FB's that came back in on the plate nearly hitting our left handed hitters and then at the same time calling the strike 2-3 inches off the plate. Just brutally inconsistent.

It's certainly possible that it was just that series (I don't see that many Sox games), and no doubt it effected my perspective in the Yankee game as I was waiting for it, but he definitely made an impression, because I didn't give two shits about Napoli until this season and he pretty much instantly became my least favorite Red Can.

Moss with a freakin rocket 3 run homer
Cangels on their way to be swept in besmirchment
