I know it's not a good idea to look too much into friendlies but Germany really didn't look good today against an opponent that would be thrilled just to make it out of the group stage.

Also, the US is getting results and that's good news for them. The bad news is that their defense sucks and if they give up these many shots on goal and corner kicks against Portugal and Germany, they're getting at least 3 scored on them each game.

The USA attack looked very good in spite of the relative ineptitude of jozy Altidore. The good news is that they could have easily scored 4 on Turkey, The bad news is that Turkey (or a better side) could have scored 4 as well. A lot of the defensive mistakes were down to lack of familiarity, which you hope is sorted out a bit in the next week.
