Spain still has by far the best players. Isco, Navas and Carvajal would be starters for most top teams and are not even on the roster for Spain.

Will be hard to find the best starting 11, though.

Really Disappointed about no dani Carvajal. I really think Spain could use a wing back that can move up and down the pitch like Carvajal. Isco would make a good sub but not as disappointed due to Spain's glut at midfield.

Lol @ Spain's center forwards.

Two guys past their primes and another that's not close to being 100%

Their offensive mids are still the best in the world but those are some weak forwards.

I assume by over the hill you can't possibly be talking about Villa.

playing regular for the La liga champions and also getting the the champions league final

scoring 15 goals even when playing out of position.

only last season scoring 16 goals for Barca with mainly substitute appearences after recovering from a serious injury that kept him out 10 months and ended up with a la liga medal

or scoring 5 goals in 8 games for spain last season despite coming back from that bad injury.

No, silly me, you could not possiblt be talking about Villa.:D

lmao robben misses a simple tapin 4 yards infront of goal

Bad news for Italy. Montolivo went off with an injury and it didn't look good.

Ireland are taking the game to them now as well.

You clearly must be talking about a different David Villa. The David Villa I saw over the last few months has been horrible.

How can I be talking about a different David Villa, what I have listed were not opinions, but actual facts and statistics.

Aquilani went off with a possible concussion. They're going to have to call up another attacking midfielder.

You sound like a guy who reads stats off wikipedia and not watch the game. Villa is clearly past his prime, his last few months for Atletico is proof of that.

Villa is still a good player. He can still do a good job for spain.

Rafa Marquez from Mexico will likely miss playing the tournament due to possible fracture.

Agreed. He could have 1 or 2 more productive seasons in La Liga and will rip up the MLS next year... but he's still past his prime.

If I was Del Bosque I'd keep him, Negredo and one of either Llorente or Costa.

Montes obliterated his leg too.

The injury list just from the past couple of days' worth of friendlies:

-Marquez and Montes (Mexico)
-Montolivo (Italy)
-Webo and some defender (Ghana)
-Castillo (Ecuador)
-Mejia (Colombia)

The only one that may get to go to Brazil is Marquez. The others are out.
