What's your early prediction for Best Picture?

Right now, mine is 12 Years a Slave.

12 years a slave has to be the shoe-in

best movie I've seen in a loooong time! Have high hopes for HER though, looks fantastic

They should get Neil Tyson to give the best movie award if Gravity gets nominated. enough film nerds won't heckle him anymore for just being honest when he said a lot of the science in that movie was a little made up.

I dont think Gravity is going to make it for best picture but the cinematography and special effects on this movie were amazing.... its sad that some people dont actually comprehend the technicalities of what was visually accomplished and think that everything is just as simple as putting a green screen behind.....geeezzzz

I'm going with American Hustle.

Really? That movie tried a little TOO hard for me, something unsettling about how it was written.

Shot amazingly though

12 Years a Slave was an absolutely phenomenal movie and while the only other big best picture nom movie ive seen thus far is Gravity, I think it will be very tough that another movie rivals it in weight, significance, and actual quality filmmaking in all technical aspects and stellar acting. Gravity comes close- relatively close I guess- but I still found McQueen's movie more resonant- emotionally- more relevant, socially, etc.

now over the next two weeks will try to see American Hustle, Wolf of Wall Street, Llewyn Davis, Her, Nebraska- to be fair.
