Fletcher looks gaunt. He looks really unhealthy since that injury.

It was a hell of an illness he had. His entire game was built around his energy so it's no surprise he looks a shadow of himself. I feel bad for the chap but he really has been awful today and was last year as well.

I just don't get why this club continues to give players chances who routinely fail us. We need a proper clear out. Awful performances from Nani, Young, Fellaini etc. aka the usual suspects.

LVG has often started slowly but this mirrors last season a little to much for my liking.

Not the best start to the LVG era. Just one game, but if he doesn't start winning soon, some of the knee jerk Man U fans will start throwing their toys out of the pram. Old Trafford doesn't seem to be the fortress that it was 2/3 years ago and teams are starting to turn up there to win, rather than seeing it as damage limitation.

Until Mourinho came the first time and broke the curse, there was a "community shield curse" whereby the winnner of the community shield never won the title that season.

I think it has been broken a couple of times now though, but Mourinho was the first to break the curse!
